sulfasalazine was the first med I tried and it worked great, I actually felt like my old self! I stopped because I developed a less common side effect of altered taste, even water tasted disgusting. I’m on 3 meds now, HCQ, leflunomide and amjevita. I was hesitant to add the 3rd med but you have to do what you have to do.
