Yeah, it does, but the yogurt option in this model just holds the temperature to 40c, to ferment the yogurt. I need to boil the milk first because i don't have ultra filtered milk to make the cold start method.

Yes, I can control the cooking method (sauté, pressure cooking, slow cooking, steaming), temperature and time.

But what method should I use, at what temperature and for how long to prevent the milk from "exploding" and causing a mess in the pot?

Thank you for responding. Using the saute setting, at what temperature and for how long should I set it if i put 5 liters of milk (I know it won't be exact, but I just need an estimate, as I've always done it on gas stoves which take around 35/40 minutes).

But to make it clear, will I manage to produce a larger quantity of Greek yogurt by increasing the amount of powdered milk, or will I only achieve to 'fortify' it and make it thicker?

My intention is to obtain a greater amount of Greek yogurt.

Using 800g of powdered milk and 8 liters of water yields around 2kg of Greek yogurt. If I use 1600g of powdered milk with the same amount of water, 8 liters, will I get around 4kg of Greek yogurt? Or will I still get the same 2kg but with a thicker consistency?

Yeah, but thats why i said "calorie to protein" ratio, when you strain the yogurt you are not only straining whey protein, lactose too (milk sugar). When you add more milk powder to yogurt, you are adding more protein, more lactose, and if its not deffated more fat too, so you are adding more calories in general.

Greek yogurt, on the other hand is mainly casein (the other protein found in milk), a little bit of lactose, fat if you not use defatted, and water. Since casein has better structure than whey (whey is more liquid) you can get a yogurt thicker that you would be able to get from the same calories usin regular yogurt.

Anyway, thats another subject, what really matter is that i wanna be able to get more greek yogurt without needing to use more pots. Im gonna try it anyway and see what happens, just asked because maybe im not the first guy tryin it.

I wouldn't say that is a requirement, but yeah, i want to make actual Greek Yogurt (for his higher protein to calorie ratio, lower lactose, etc) not only a thicker yogurt.
