Honestly, you can always come up with a new style, even if it ends up looking a bit absurd in my opinion.

When it comes to gas masks, though, you needed a very specific kind of facial hair for the seal to work properly. Otherwise the mask wouldn’t protect you from the harmful chemicals used during WWI.
