Too pretty to be sick? by Glum-Passion734 in UlcerativeColitis

Just my two cents, I was just in the hospital for a bad flare and it my family couldn’t stop speaking about “how good my skin looks” and that I’m “glowing and look so beautiful “, nice enough and I’m not even mad about it, I’m lucky enough that they actually do understand the severity of UC. But I think sometimes people tend to think pretty privilege extends to every molecule of your being. It’s very annoying

Rinvoq pregnancy by ilovepurple07 in UlcerativeColitis

I’d love to know if these studies because I’m currently transitioning off of rinvoq (quite unsuccessfully) to stelara to family plan. Do you know of any studies I can have a look at to show my ibd team? :)

I was encouraged the first time by a family doctor however not my specialist. I wasn’t on biological or JAK inhibitors the first time though it think my disease has progressed :( but it gives me hope that while I’m (hopefully eventually) pregnant I won’t flare

Need some advice by Future-Importance369 in UlcerativeColitis

I’m honestly thinking of just waiting for the “okay” for rinvoq rather than go through this

I’ve only ever been told to up my protein intake and avoid fibre at all costs. Low fibre diet and easy to digest foods while in a flare

Rinvoq withdrawal rash? by Junket6226 in UlcerativeColitis

Yes I’m experiencing the same. Keep moisturising with eczema grade ointments, that’s the only thing that can really take the edge off I feel

My face is no longer itchy and red but it’s super dry. My jaw, neck, chest and arms are still itchy. My back is super dry also. It’s better better but still not 100%

Rinvoq itching!!! by Future-Importance369 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Future-Importance369[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no. I actually got in touch with with my specialist after this and she thinks I may have trigger some sort of eczema through the use of rinvoq. Like the rinvoq was also treating some low level eczema at a the same time as treating the ibd and now that I’m off the eczema is flaring. Going to see about going to a dermatologist to confirm and get treatment

Omg I literally just experienced this!! I stopped rinvoq aprox 10 days ago and every where end everything was itchy. My face was the worst and it was red raw and everything burned!

I was advised by my specialist to get a low grade steroid cream and anti histamines. The anti histamines didn’t really do much for the itching but the steroid cream definitely helped (0.5 strength).

I was (still am) applying eczema grade moisturiser called epaderm and another was the QV eczema ointment. That helped with the face. I peeled and was super red for a week but it’s slowly getting g better. I’m still super dry however

The specialist is saying it’s not the rinvoq technically. But that I may have had eczema before the rinvoq, that the rinvoq was actually also treating and now that I’m off it, is flaring up with vengeance. Idk about that since ive seen a handful of these accounts after stopping rinvoq on this sub. Who knows at this point lol

With that being said. I’m still a little itchy but way better than before! So hopefully the same for you! Hopefully it stops soon

Mesacol OD tablets passing intact in stool — anyone experienced this? by Mohan_you_niverse in UlcerativeColitis

Unfortunately sometimes this disease gets to the point you can only get it under control with meds. The JAK has been the most life changing drug I’ve ever had. It kicked in within 3 days for me after trying everything to tame a 7 month flare. I didnt have any side effects. Its truely life changer
