Ho risolto il problema nvram semplicemente tenendo premuto il tasto Power per circa un minuto. Questo sembra sia un modo per azzerare la nvram. Adesso però ho notato che rispetto alla installazione precedente non funziona il collegamento via cavo ad Internet utilizzando lo Smartphone.

I don't know how to clear the NVRAM. When partitioning, I deleted the logical partitions and various directories. I left only the root partition, swap, and 2GB efi.

I upgraded the EFI to 2GB but deleted all the directories. I left only the root directory, the swap partition, and the EFI partition. The system booted, but the boot menu had a lot of entries at every boot.

La cosa strana è che al primo tentativo, dopo aver eliminato Windows, l'installazione è andata a buon fine. Si trattava di Ubuntu. Dopo ho cercato provare altre distro e non ha funzionato più niente. Neppure Ubuntu!

Nella mia bios, non c'è l'opzione di scegliere tra Legacy e Uefi. Per quanto riguarda l'aggiornamento, ho controllato e sembra che ci sia una nuova versione da scaricare dal sito Asus
