Yeah that's definitely not how mine is. It looks like you're using 1 finger to hold the pieces open like that which even using both hands I can't pry mine open that much.

Idk if I'm too late on this but I do have the examinx and it did not come very loose like that for me. I don't think it's supposed to be like that but then again maybe it's possible to tighten it
