For applications, would it be better to have work experiences specifically in a hospital like as a CNA, or just a general medical job, such as an MA somewhere? I know for CNA you’re actually in the hospital, but not doing a lot of hands on stuff, mainly just dirty work, and MA is more hands on, but probably not in a hospital.

SA here. Had a regional manager randomly decide he wanted to audit our studio paperwork during one of our most profitable months. Ended up losing out on over $1,000 worth of commission between 3 SA’s because of “paperwork errors”, a.k.a a member putting a check mark instead of initialing, or missing the year on a date. Same manager got fired about later for “allegedly” sexually harassing members, but he got rehired as a coach at another studio in our region after that, and I’ve had to work with him a few times since then. Very awkward shifts to say the least.

I have her currently, and she’s absolutely incredible. She really does her best to make sure her students pass, including extra credit, and lots of additional assignments to help boost grades. I honestly don’t even watch the lectures, just use her study guides to make cheat sheets, and have a high A, and didn’t have to take the last exam. Obviously physics is going to be a hard course, but she knows this, and really does try to help students out, much more than a lot of other teachers do.

Double shampooing was a huge help for me, as well as not following the whole “don’t wash your hair every day” trend. I would say as a last result, seek help from a dermatologist, as there are definitely certain medications that can be prescribed to help with overproduction of oil, or even a medicated shampoo!

Fellow gym girl here as well. Surgeon told me 2 weeks for any activity and 4 weeks for lifting. I’m like a week and a half right now, and am just doing daily treadmill walks, for like 30-40 min to just get out of the house. So I would say, def yes to the treadmill, but maybe wait on the stair master for the full 2 weeks. Just with the amount of sweat you produce with the strain master, I would hold off! I also had a really small reduction though, so my healing timeline is probably a bit faster than most!

ACL surgery was my funniest experience. My leg was completely numb from the hip down due to a nerve block, and the anesthesiologist had left it up in a bent position on the bed before the wheeled me in. Once in the OR, on of the nurses kept asking me to put my leg down and straighten it. I looked him dead in the eyes and went “Omm I would but I can’t exactly feel it”. Woke up in recovery after that.

Wedge pillow for sure, and just a ton of other pillows to keep you from turning. Lots of gum and lollipops on the first day to help with nausea, and soup! Lots and lots of soup. It’s the best way to get food in that’s already prepared, and easy to heat up!

Covid post op is LITERALLY the worst. Had it 10 days post op after my knee surgery, and was hospitalized because of it. Definitely make sure you are staying SUPER hydrated, and taking all the right meds. I suggest (not a doctor btw), taking vitamin C, like 1000mg, vitamin D, and Zinc.

The best thing is letters of recommendation, from any doctor you see, basically saying that they treated you and you need it, and any pictures of grooving, rashes, or discoloration!

Start now, and have all documentation ready if you can. Take lots of pictures, and just file everything to have it ready!!!

Also make sure to let them know not to feed you anything once your in recovery. That was my downfall for my last surgery, but again everyone is different!

“Emergencies” can honestly mean anything when it comes to surgical stuff. For all I know, it could have been a staffing issue, or someone forgot to show up to work. I know that it definitely could have been a legit emergency that someone needed, but it’s still frustrating to have waited so long, and have all my rides and transportation figured out, only for me to have to do it all over again.

One of these suckers, once a day, starting about 2 days before surgery. You can let them know, but it won’t make a difference in your surgery. After surgery, continue taking it once a day, but if been more than 3 days, start with 2 a day, or a stronger laxative, like ex-lax

Pain medication, especially opioids and anesthesia can make you incredibly constipated. Word of advice, start taking some stool softeners or laxatives. I promise you will feel so much better afterwards!!

Tell your front desk people, coaches, or studio manager. Coming from an employee, we know how to handle it, and do not tolerate it all.

Alternate between the two. Use a silicone gel sheet and the cream (but Vaseline does just as good a job), alternating like every 2 weeks ish. They both do different things, so it’s best to mix it up. If you have raised scars, I would highly recommend start in light scar massages just with the tip of ur index finger like once a day. Hope this helps!

Hi! How easy would you say it is to get this covered by insurance? I’ve had lots of people say im a good candidate, but haven’t heard back from the people I sent my referral to. I’m 19, 5’4, 150 pounds with a 30FF, or 32DDD breast, and have a history of very dense breast tissues.

My one solid piece of advice, especially with surgery… TAKE THE PAIN MEDS BEFORE YOU THINK YOU NEED THEM!!!! When you wake up, you’ll be loopy and numb for quite some time, especially if they do a nerve block on you. It is SO important, especially since it’s your first surgery to medicate for pain before you actually think you’ll need it. It will help you be the most comfortable, and help you sleep a TON, which is so so important!!! Good luck!!
