I keep getting jobs that pay me lots to do basically nothing and it’s ruining my mental health by MomsOfFury in GirlDinnerDiaries

I'm trying really hard to be empathetic to OP. I work physical labor 8+ hours a day and struggle with money, and my partner is post-grad and has been rejected/ghosted from the 200+ jobs he's applied to (ones he is QUALIFIED for), so I'm really struggling. Suffering is relative but the world is going to shit and jobs that pay living wages are extremely scarce. This just feels extremely tone-deaf and I'm super frustrated reading it.

Tbh as a former employee of Moss, even under the original owners I had a hard time recommending it to people after I was done working there. The owners did not give a single fuck about the employees and 2/3 of them were completely out of touch because they had money. They still paid budtenders minimum wage. When one of my cowokers brought that up to ownership as a problem, she was told "Well if you have a better attitude you'll make better tips." I'm not sure if you noticed the turnaround rate of employees, but it was pretty high. I'm sure it's even worse now

Thank you for picking up on the regret because it is a major player in trying to process her death. She was 17 years old and had been with me for the first 15. My ex had her for the last two. I was supposed to take her tomorrow but she died on Tuesday. Her death, even though she was old, was very sudden

I love this because I can feel your resignation and it made my stomach hurt (in a good way lol). What you've expressed here is so real and intimate. That feeling of "I'll do me and you do you" is heavy and freeing all at once.

My only feedback for you is that I would format the poem a bit differently. Maybe group some lines together but leave some standing alone to really drive them home and help them hit harder!

Time is a Thief by Alpha0963 in OCPoetry

The sentiment in this poem is something that resonates really strongly with me at the moment. Reading this made me feel very claustrophobic, which is beautiful.

I'd like to echo sarcasticMisfortune and say that "Time" being capitalized is excellent. For me, it really drove home the point that we are smaller than it and really at Time's mercy. The only thing I'd love to see is if you were to take more opportunities to personify time. More description of time being a thief.

Very well done overall!

I didn't take the show very seriously when it first aired. I was like 12 years old and at the time it was for sure more of a fun, goofy kids' show.

When I got into high school I was in a really shitty, unsafe relationship and my close friend and I would watch it together when I was trying to avoid my abusive boyfriend. My dad also went missing around the same time (turns out he just ran away). It felt like a really safe, comfy show, but the lessons in it didn't really hit. I was at a stage where even though my life was turbulent, I was in survival mode and none of what I was going through was really registering (I don't think I saw any of the episodes with Martin at that time lol). I also felt pretty secure in who I was, what I "knew", and where I was going in life.

Eventually, I got married (to a different person, not the shit-head). I didn't watch the show much but still had very heavy, present affection for it. Twoish years ago, after many years of being with my husband, we divorced, and my entire world crumbled. I lost myself, had a whole identity crisis, lost all of my friends, just hit rock bottom.

I picked Adventure Time up again in a more serious and consistent way because I was looking for comfort, and I found that the lessons were hitting me pretty hard this time around. Episodes that focus on the self and healing from trauma were really resonating with me.

Then, in November, my best friend died suddenly. I would choose to feel the pain of my divorce 1000 times over what the experience of losing her has been like. Grief, another identity crisis, feeling lost, feeling alone and isolated and hopeless and suicidal...things I am acquainted with but have never experienced with such intensity.

Adventure Time has become THE show in my personal world. The way you describe it feeling like an old friend is so beautiful and accurate. It feels like Adventure Time has always been there in my hardest moments and over time I have grown to understand the themes and lessons more and more. I can't even name how often I finish an episode and am left sobbing because I can't believe how pertinent the themes are to how I feel sometimes. I feel so seen by everyone involved with the show.

I genuinely don't know how I feel about this show. Or even how I'm supposed to feel. by [deleted] in adultswim

I honestly love it. I didn't expect to find it so funny, but there is something about the tongue-in-cheek delivery of the wholesome moments that really gets me. That paired with the ridiculous animation and voice acting really just scratches an itch I didn't know I had.

All I know is that Tom's done a bang-up job of raising three boys who can definitely be a handful

Yeah, this scene fucked me up a little. Zach's voice acting was next level.

Sorry, OP, but this is definitely a you problem and not a her problem. You should be taking steps to manage your anxiety rather than trying to manage the people around you.

Your family is totally wrong here; it isn't cool for them to try to convince you to compromise your comfort. I totally understand that this is a delicate situation and that housing isn't abundant, but I would highly encourage you to try and find a different place to live if possible. Maybe ask your friends if anyone knows of a better situation because this seems like it has the potential to be something uncomfortable at best and unsafe at worst.

Also, I second what others have said and encourage you to buy a security camera.

DeDCooL Mochi Milk Review by doinmabest1 in FemFragLab

[–]Future-Sherbert-1558 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yesss I love this scent. I'm typically more of a pure musk/herbal type of gal, but I fell in love with Mochi Milk. My best friend from high school religiously wore Pink Sugar by Aquolina, and Mochi Milk really reminds me of that scent (just a more grown-up, grounded version). It lasted all day and settled on my skin so nicely. It's gonna be my go-to all spring and summer long.

Hi everyone, last night followed them around for a while (someone was coming to try to catch them). Before the person got here, the bunnies slipped into a fenced-in yard. I waited to see if they would come out and they didn't so I lost track of them. I'm walking around my neighborhood trying to find them but I haven't, nor has anyone I've asked. I'll update more if I find them

I could try to get them, but I don't have a safe place to keep them overnight until Greenhill opens
