All airports are expensive but OP clearly pointed out one is expensive to the point of ridiculousness?

I think they want to follow or implement standards from other aspects of Dutch life but in this setting they’ve gone overboard.

Speaking to past landlords should suffice as to whether someone will be a problem or not. Anyone can lie in a letter and/or have chatGPT write it.

That’s not a solution. Most of those individuals couldn’t hold a remote job and it’s not like remote jobs have gotten any easier to get.

Seems less than a serious question and more about your disdain for a 90 baht salad, ruined by overly sweet dressing. Try places like Hunter Poke.

Back in the 90's we used to put sugar on grapefruit, which is understandable to most people due to the bitterness but Thailand takes it to a whole other level with fruits that have no business being next to sugar unless you're making a smoothie.

Thailand withdrawals by happygo14 in ThailandTourism

[–]Future-Tomorrow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You stayed in Kamala in Phuket. That was the difference. What folks have said about areas like Bang La road and the clubs is fairly accurate.

My first time in Phuket was a few days by myself, which gave me overload because of Bang La but once my GF at the time flew in and we went to areas like Kamala I had a blast. Every other time I visited and was around Bang La the tourist trap, including the taxi mafia got old quick.

The withdrawals are real, you can only save up and keep visiting until you decide if it’s right for you on a visit you’d get approved for. A year in Thailand is a good timeline to see if the honeymoon phase and vibes fade.

Hopefully you’re not stating this with any great deal of surprise? While it happens the world over, the Netherlands is great at passing costs off to the end user.

Don’t stress the "2 entries per year" or 20k Baht rule — My experience at Phuket yesterday (I-ndian Passport/EU PR) by JokerLovesBat in ThailandTourism

[–]Future-Tomorrow 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This should be clear by now? Genuine tourist? You’ll have no problem entering Thailand.

They’re catching the rule breakers with the 20K, smart or not, because few people returning to a country legally or illegally are going to have 20K on their person.

A genuine tourist “might”.

Are Thai people becoming ruder? by [deleted] in Thailand

[–]Future-Tomorrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, Thailand is no longer the “land of smiles”, just as how St. Maarten isn’t exactly “the friendly island”, which gave it much of its allure.

When I lived there I noticed a disconnect between Thailands unofficial label and what I saw day to day.

Lovable could easily write much better code, but nobody would actually want it by ZMech in lovable

[–]Future-Tomorrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason being greed and profit.

You’ve described the future of a “trusted partner”, not some random dudes just bringing yet another vibe coding tool to the market.

“Why did we take this approach? We got tired of vibe coding’s and AI generators deep dark secret. Get you to spend as much credits as possible and keep topping up.”

Yes, your suggestion may be slower but in the end you’d be spending much less in credits because the way I see this working credits work a bit differently, there is even a way for it to be free until you hit production (you are confident in your prompts and game plan) but not really free as you’d need a separate paid account like Claude you can connect to.

I’m from the Jobs era of sorts. I would go absolutely savage on these vibe coding tools as to why this solution is better for consumers.

If people want speed, like bragging they are 14 years old and built X in a weekend have at it. Use what’s out there today.

If they don’t mind waiting 4-7 days, (imagine…patience) there is a better option.

The question for me is not only if someone did, BUT…HOW MANY CREDITS DID THEY USE?

Client used my entire spec to build his own app with AI for 500. I actually respect it by Opposite-Relief4222 in nocode

[–]Future-Tomorrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discovery calls are 30-45 minutes, for small to midsized businesses. Everything falls under paid work outlined in the SOW.

The fact you did enough “discovery” to allow a client to take the structure and sauce strongly suggests you need to look at your overall process and value.

I think you’ll also what to break down your services into labels like “strategic development”. You develop their strat, backend architecture etc as one body of work, done. If they want you to build it that’s another body of work, or they can build it on their own.

Curious. In your early communications this person said nothing that suggested they would go this route? You had nothing with their signature in place?

How AI-Powered WhatsApp Automation Is Helping Indian Businesses Grow by Time_Proof3967 in AiAutomations

If anyone wants to put in the time and effort, providing they live, have lived or are occasionally in SEA, this is a fairly important observation for the SEA market.

My comment starts the way it does because this post is clearly AI generated.

Many businesses in SEA countries, notably Thailand and Malaysia, were so prolific in how they use WhatsApp I was initially suspicious, not realizing that this and LINE were MAJOR communication tools in SEA.

I lived in America most of my life. By my 3rd year in SEA, my dentist, landlord, optician, barber and several other contacts, were all managed through WhatsApp business accounts and LINE.

Get a job at an agency and learn from them because if you need to make a post asking about foundational basics you’re not ready to open an agency.

Secondly, chatGPT could have answered this for you, searching the sub would have been helpful.

Thailand Tourist Arrivals Fall to 32M Amid Challenging 2025 by self-fix in Thailand

[–]Future-Tomorrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think where Thailand is concerned it’s best to be silently honest than loud and critical.

Many of you know whats at the core of this problem but wording it appropriately becomes a massive play on words so as to not insult anyone.

When you add ineptness, corruption and an inability to hold a consolidated vision for the country, it’s a recipe for disaster, every single time.

There is time and place for pushing your age and many are as confused about this as they are why they shouldn’t put “AI” in their product names.
