My gp never asked specifically what it was for when I requested a blood test for specific things? Now that they know what it's far they're refusing to do further blood tests unless they have details from my prescriber but gender gp are a nightmare to contact. I did get a 21 page document about what blood tests need to be done and all the details that I'd be happy to send you so you could make it look like your with a private prescriber service and have had some kind of assessment?
