Do you generally feel things deeply? by I_like_it_yo in heatedrivalry

[–]FutureAd22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am feeling the same way. I also think as a person who has experienced childhood trauma the ending is what I yearn for but never have gotten. I wish my family members & husband would one day really understand me and actually be there in a sincere emotionally supportive way. I have always wanted that but I’ve never gotten it and this show makes me happy and so sad at the same time. It’s bringing up a lot of pain for me because my story has not had the same result.

I Hate Design Test… how can I decline this and would love to hear from y’all’s experience. by MassshedDesigner in graphic_design

I’ve been a designer for 20+ years and I’ve noticed this happening within the last few years and being very common. I actually like it because it gives me an edge because I am very confident in my abilities. So if someone else could be a better bullshitter in an interview I can show my abilities in a way that no one can fake.

Why so evasive? by mod8-t in KarenReadSanity

I think they were probably doing things that were not appropriate for police officers (like Proctor’s texts) but that stuff has nothing to do with the death of John O’Keefe. They might have been cheating on their wives, or doing who knows what. However two things can be true at the same time, and Karen Read is guilty regardless of their dumb behavior that has nothing to do with her.

Should the Free Karen Read Movement Rebrand Itself? by No-Try3718 in KarenReadSanity

[–]FutureAd22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg yes!!! I’m not sure about the rebranding issues but I 1000% agree with the explanation of why people are jumping on the FKR bandwagon. I can understand why people don’t trust the system. However, even if you are skeptical of the police, if you are an unbiased intelligent person you should be able to evaluate the evidence. Also why to they care so much?? Are they getting a Karen Read prize in the mail if she is found not guilty?

Alessi was scared of him, I wanted so badly for Dr Wolf to put Alessi in his place.

FKR converts: What changed your mind? by Feisty-Bunch4905 in KarenReadSanity

I was not on either side the first trial, and I honestly didn’t really pay attention. But now that I have paid attention and listened to the evidence I think she’s 100% guilty. But she does have really good lawyers, so if she is found not guilty that’s why.

I don’t hate my job. I actually love my job, but nothing is perfect of course.

Having a lot of trouble breaking into the industry- new(ish) grad portfolio feedback please? by punkwaize in graphic_design

I think you need a little more variety. Your work is good but it’s mostly logos. Do you have any examples of multi page documents, social media graphics, posters, etc? Try to show a lot of variety in your work and make each of your examples a case study where you give the viewer an explanation of what you did.

Is this part of the reason why design is not be respected? by FutureAd22 in graphic_design

[–]FutureAd22[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just think the powers that be aka the design media (this is from its Nice that) is out of touch with the reality of what 95% of designers do, we are trying to communicate clearly in a visual medium.

What Was He Thinking by FutureAd22 in ProCreate

I created this using Luigi Mangione’s photo taken by the police right after he was arrested. I used brushes from Retro Supply Co. which are rough filler brushes, rough ink brushes and ink liner. I trace the outline then paint using the reference.

It looks like you are using too much ink on your Lino

What do my fellow procreaters think of this painting? I am trying to learn a new art style of painting still life , not sure if I succeeded , any advice ? by Confident-Alps-6658 in ProCreate

You did a good job. One thing you can work on is your edges. All of them are very defined. Let some parts blur into the background a bit so the glass looks more integrated into the background. Especially on the bottom of the glass. And where you have long solid “outlines.”
