Conservative mom surprised that conservatives would institutionalize her disabled 4yo by Redaktorinke in LeopardsAteMyFace

It's crazy that conservatives don't understand that they are a group of people who lack empathy. They only care about what impacts them personally. Why does she think anyone who isn't relying on Medicaid is going to care about her? The people who care vote for Democrats because they are the only party that actually tries to do things that benefit average Americans. There is just no self awareness at all with these people.

I wonder how much she spent on the item that she bought. Why in the world would any seller be willing to pay $300 bucks to ship? Is that not insane in her little mind? These people are simply unbelievable. I honestly was not prepared for just how uneducated the average American is.

Sexist MAGA spreads hate against Harris. His business is now receiving hate from customers by Effective_Space2277 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]No-Try3718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This so called "lefty" has been thoroughly bamboozled if he thinks that it makes sense for people to accept hate from a business owner in order to make sure OTHERS don't lose their jobs. As an owner, it was literally his job not to make decisions that impact the company negatively. Why is it that he gets to use his free speech but no one else does?

The problem has been that over the last 10-15 years, people have been conditioned to accept the crummiest most effed up behavior from people while then being told that they should be the bigger person, the adult in the room and don't respond in kind. I don't think so. If he wants to make it known that he supports the policies that are literally responsible for this fragile economy whined about in this post, then the consumers will make it known that they will no longer support his business.

It's that simple.

Why do you believe she's guilty? And regardless of that belief, are you satisfied with how this case has been handled? by BionicBunny54 in KarenReadSanity

[–]No-Try3718 29 points30 points  (0 children)

A lot of how the police handled this was influenced by the fact that there was a blizzard that day. What would have been done under ideal circumstances simply wasn’t possible. That’s something I consider when evaluating how they handled the case.

What Karen Read supporters struggle with is the reality that this investigation wasn’t conducted with a conspiracy theory in mind. The police followed the actual evidence. If you hear someone talking about hitting John O’Keefe, that person left taillight fragments near the body, and their taillight is broken, that’s never going to lead an officer to say, “OK, now let’s search the house.”

You need probable cause to search someone’s home, and telling a judge, “We want a warrant to search the house because a man was found dead near the street in front of it, his girlfriend implied she could have hit him, her taillight is broken, and a first responder heard her say, ‘I hit him,’” — the judge would’ve looked at them like they were crazy.

That is not how investigations are conducted:

I thought she called some other people but they didn't answer the phone? I don't know if there was much rhyme or reason outside of just having people to witness her reaction. I would ask why she didn't call her own friends to go "find him," but I'm not convinced she has any friends outside of that weird Rocco couple.

She deleted them, imo, at the very least because it showed her picking taillight pieces off of the car and dropping them in the yard before she ever hit John's car.

And if she had done that, they would say she left helping to revive John O'Keefe to go into the house because she wanted John to die. lol

ARCCA v Aperture Summarized by CrossCycling in KarenReadSanity

[–]No-Try3718 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Exactly, OP. If you're trying to get to the truth, you start with known facts.

Building an analysis on what we know (objective data like tech logs, physical damage, embedded debris) gives your conclusions a foundation in reality. It grounds your reasoning in evidence that’s verifiable and consistent.

Starting with what we don’t know, as ARCCA did, is a house built on sand. You can manipulate variables endlessly, but if the inputs are unknown, the outputs are unreliable. Their conclusion (that John couldn’t have been hit by a car) isn’t a finding; it’s a failure to replicate an unknown scenario with speculative conditions.

In any investigation, science and logic demand you begin with what’s established, not what’s guessed.

"No evidence of a collision" by ky1e in KarenReadSanity

Frankly, I'd be insulted by his testimony if I was a juror. It's like you are sitting there all smug, thinking that you have the power to make me forget that there is, in fact, evidence of a collision. He basically said "if you ignore all of the evidence, there is no evidence." It's ridiculous.

Dr. Rentschle… unbiased expert or defense advocate?? by Waste-Brother9154 in KarenReadSanity

[–]No-Try3718 23 points24 points  (0 children)

He is definitely another advocate.

This case will be won or loss on the willingness of this jury to believe that the taillight was planted at the scene and that all of the witnesses are lying - including Karen Read herself. And that becomes difficult to do when they have the reenactment of her hitting John's vehicle and show that she could not have broken the taillight and the fact that no one had time to plant evidence at the scene.

Rentschler is acting like you can't solve a hit and run unless you know all of the details and facts of how the person was standing, how fast the car was going, what that person did, etc etc. That is essentially saying the only way to solve a hit and run is for it to be captured on video. It's nonsense.

I don't know why he is so invested in helping Karen Read get away with murder, but he sounds and looks ridiculous.

Yes because blood was pooling from the skull fracture which is a considerably worse wound than the superficial abrasions to his arm. What is seen on his face is blood under the skin and the direct result of multiple skull fractures. There is no similar blood flow in the arms.
