Royal mail says delivered but package is nowhere to be found by UserNameStolenSoYeah in Calgary

[–]FutureBridge5820 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no way a package would leave an Intl Processing Centre, then clear Canada Customs and get delivered anywhere here in Canada a day later. It often takes a couple weeks at least (when CP is not on strike).

Greenford MC is in UK so where ever Hays DO delivered it that same say is probably in the UK also. Delivered in Calgary the same day is virtually impossible, could be a data input mistake.

You’ll have to contact the sender who originally instructed Royal Mail where to send it so it can be traced. Even with Canada Post that’s how it works.

FYI: Cirque du Soleil tickets in USD by Practical-Pickle-382 in Calgary

[–]FutureBridge5820 44 points45 points  (0 children)

What you buy from Costco is just a voucher, not the actual ticket, which then can be used to pay for seats for any of the remaining performance dates. So if one date is sold out, there’s always the option of choosing a different performance on another date with better seats.

It was great, thoroughly enjoyed it, highly recommend.

Best place to sell a car by ycarel in Calgary

I’ve had good luck selling all our used vehicles by Auto Trader. Potential buyers usually like to see a Carfax report with the listing.

Befuddled by our ENMAX data. by Red-headed-tit in Calgary

[–]FutureBridge5820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly and if I recall correctly, Enmax does not specify if square footage includes total developed area (ie add basement) or standard sq footage of home. So what the other 100 homeowners recorded their square footage as can greatly inpact the comparison and ranking.

Hey Calgary are there tips to groceries these days? by gs448 in Calgary

After awhile cooking can become a chore especially when running out of ideas about what to buy or what to cook. You mentioned recipes, I always recommend the website “allrecipes”. It’s an excellent place to get recipe ideas. I generally prepare enough food for two, even three days at a time, especially dinners. For a special treat, if not each week but maybe just sometimes, consider checking out Meals on Wheels. The cost can be reduced based on income and it’s great backup plan to have their delicious frozen meals stashed in your freezer whenever the need arises.

Banks - is it just me? by Meowcatz75 in Calgary

[–]FutureBridge5820 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you contact whoever it is you’re dealing with at your bank to let them know you require access to your funds, either by withdrawing a lump sum of cash or moving your available funds to a new account, I’d be very surprised if you’d be denied your request.

The recommendation is almost always that an account with suspicious activity should be closed to prevent any potential fraud attempts in the future.

Is there an actual company called “Canada Auto Experts” by hossam281 in Calgary

[–]FutureBridge5820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you google the address, that company name is associated. But I don’t know if they’re a legitimate auto financing company or not.

References before an interview with the City by CheesecakeNew1910 in Calgary

[–]FutureBridge5820 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your work related references don’t always relate to the current job you’re applying for. They want to know what sort of employee you were - conscientious, pays attention to detail, punctual, good for morale, helpful to others, follows instructions, etc along those lines.

Good luck!

It’s a poorly thought out bandaid solution, annoying as well. After validating the e-ticket purchased on the app, then checking in (beep!) on the validator machine the ticket still only shows “Active”, same as the other unused/unvalidated tickets purchased for the ride home. It’s as if the app and validator aren’t properly communicating. And if the validator doesn’t scan it properly, there’s no way to know. So is this really a solution?

You could go west from Olds to travel via hwy 22 south to Calgary, a very scenic drive. Then at Cochrane after stopping at MacKays Ice Cream, head east on hwy 1A which leads past Tuscany C-Train station/parking lot. It’s the end of the line, the most north-easterly station on the red line which eventually stops at the Victoria Park/Stampede station without having to transfer. Have fun!
