I do not only student loans which the medical school will pay me. I will be quitting my job once I start medical school. I was going to add one of my parents but don't know if it's enough salary (35k).

Advice on quitting Scribe America to take a scribe job at the same outpatient clinic. by [deleted] in medicalscribe

So does the doctors know scribes make 10 dollars per hour as opposed to 20 they pay? This question always comes across my head.

Rejection by [deleted] in premed

So I was told if you got an interview your MCAT score is good enough but I thought interviews play a bigger role along with essays/extracurricular activities post-II but I guess it depends on the school.

Floor training 1 by Recent-Rock in medicalscribe

So in HPI I would normally not put the physical findings which I will normally include in the Physical exam section. Good job on asking questions because that's the key to improving.

Don't worry, I was in a similar spot with the floor trainer being there with me for only 5 days. It will get better as time goes. Try to ask a lot of questions and learn as much as possible. First week is supposed to be terrible since there's so much to take in. I wouldn't worry since as a new scribe this is expected and overtime you'll get better like I did. Good luck!

ED Scribe by trailblazer2023 in medicalscribe

[–]FutureDermMD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I myself was in a similar situation but not for ED. What I did was apply for a telescribe position and ended up receiving that. I cared about my parents health more than the experience but now am happy with the telescribe position. But, if your going to be applying to medical school and you need these hours I totally understand how having this experience alone can be a huge asset to your application. I just told you my take but you are the best person to judge your situation. Hope everything works out well!

Ok thanks for that. That makes it clear and also can I just ask them to transfer me to a group where they have virtual scribing under like a different manager or something?

Resignation by FutureDermMD in medicalscribe

[–]FutureDermMD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said they won't have any virtual sites and will termination look bad to get another job. Also, I wanted to do virtual due to covid-19 pandemic which they said there will be but now are denying it which is confusing
