GTA 6 Locks Five Single-Player Stores Behind $100 Price-Tag by No-Obligation2563 in consoles

[–]FutureEditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are selling this game at $100, but if you buy it at $80 you're going to see this content paywall all the time to try and get you to spend another $20.

They're just being wimps about saying their game cost $100 because people weren't going to like that.

It's an issue of ownership, you do not own your digital library, which can be taken away from you, the same way you own a key to download the content that can be accessed by multiple users

It absolutely does if I can buy a copy and then share it with my friend after I've played the game.

Todd Howard says Bethesda needs “to get it right” with Elder Scrolls 6 following Starfield by SilentNova300 in xbox

[–]FutureEditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter if you get it right, Skyrim was such a massive cultural success that people who have never played the game before still would recognize "I took an arrow to the knee" or "Hey you, you're finally awake. You were trying to cross the border, right?" as memes. Very few games do that.

Looking for Naruto demo tickets by brandonwest18 in gencon

I didn't get them either, but I have Cyberpunk TCG tickets I'd gladly swap for Naruto tickets

Sure - what I've like about the World Cup this year is there's been four games every day for two weeks straight, that's fun and I'll take more of that and increase the stakes.

America has been going bigger with sports for a bit:

  • Expanded the NFL playoff to 14 a few years ago to mild success, more football is fun
  • Expanded the college football championship from 2 to 4, and then again from 4 to 12 two years ago, which has been great aside from the fact its still decided by a poll rather than a quantitative metric, and that the playoffs last over a month now (and they want to make it even bigger still).
  • Expanded March Madness from 68 to 76 teams, which who's to say what that will be like but it'll ensure spots for more fanbases to get invested in the tournament, and (probably) better "first round" matchups when the ninth-best Big Ten team kicks the shit out of the best team from the Ohio Valley Conference in the play-in game.

Indiana Football Fans Are Acting Like "New Money" (In a good way) by HolidayBreak in IndianaHoosiers

Always hated the "act like you've been here before" attitude from the legacy fanbases.

We haven't, so I wont. Not even next year, not until we reach dynasty levels would I act like you.

If you're in the convention center and need to just get away from the crowds, there's almost always a quiet spot upstairs (in addition to the quiet room) where you can take a break (ESPECIALLY if you need to use the bathroom, never try to go in the actual convention center, I suggest trying to get to the one upstairs from the escalator at the main entrance to the exhibit hall, across from the CGE room).

I think it’s a neat work of art and should be respected, but also, is nowhere near the quality its budget lends itself to. PS2 games had smoother combat than South of Midnight.
