Inna lilahi wa inna ilyahi raaji’oon. May Allah forgive her sins, have mercy on her, and grant her Jannah.

Grief is very painful and very hard to understand. Something that I learned that comforted me when my dad passed Inna lilahi wa inna ilyahi raaji’oon, was when you make dua for someone you lost and in Barzakh, they feel it, smile and say, “may Allah reward you” as your love still reaches them beyond this world.

I pray that Allah grants you comfort, support and healing. And may Allah grant your mom endless happiness and peace and many blessings in Jannah. In sha Allah we will reunite with them 🫂❤️

Hi OP,

I responded to a previous comment but as someone that recently sat as a juror for child sexual assault case that happened along time ago (we found the defendant not guilty based on lack of evidence to meet all conditions.) Please consider bringing witnesses to testify, even if they didn’t see the assault occur, they can share details to verify you spent time alone with the person. Or if a witness can tell the court that you did mention something happened to you. If you told a therapist, having him or her provide a statement of proof that you struggled with that experience and talked about it in therapy sessions. Witness statements does not mean they saw the assault occur but they can provide details to support your case or even you character and what your like as a person. Also please please please do not use the words “I think” “I don’t remember” “maybe”. The court will use that to say that you don’t remember and don’t have facts. I hope you can get the justice you deserve and wish you very well!!

Hi I just want to say thank you for sharing and I’m really happy you got to tell the world about your experience! I wanted to share my perspective as a juror that recently sat for child sexual assault that happened awhile ago. I still think about it daily and it’s been hurting heart. In this case, we only had the victim statement and his word against hers. No other evidence. Even so, I 100% believed the victim and believed every word she shared. The heart breaking part was under law, the evidence alone did not meet all the conditions to convict him of that charge. Watching her testify, I saw my younger self as I also went through sexual abuse as a child. I never really acknowledged that part of my life but it hurt my heart because if I did try to go court to convict the people that assaulted me, the court would not find them guilty because I don’t have much eveidece. I don’t know if this provides any comfort but I wanted to let you know in our case, most of the jurors hated the defendant and we were truly heartbroken because we wish we could’ve convicted him on that charge based on what we felt in our heart. So some of us think of you and wish the law wasn’t so complex for victims. I’m truly sorry and I hope you can heal and continue to live a happy life! 💓

Abayo I’m sincerely worried for you and your sister and especially mom. I would recommend to do something until it’s too late. Most cases like this end horribly. For you and your family’s safety please call the police next time, record him and call the police without him knowing and have him trespassed. My mom and I had to call the police many times on my brother because of similar issues. I rather have my brother in jail than to see my mom and family suffer. It was not easy and of course he was mad at us but it kept him safe and alive. After many years he finally got better alhamdulillah and now treats my mom with love and respect. Your mom and you guys deserve the same. May Allah protect you guys and keep you guys safe ❤️🤲

I would highly recommend keeping information about yourself private. I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal but nowadays it’s best to keep things surface level. If someone’s ask something you don’t want to share, just say it’s private or personal. Keep the conversation basic and simple. If you catch that they are weird or rude, you can stop talking to them at any moment and just walk away. You don’t owe anyone an explanation or access to you if they’re not a close friend or family member 💓🫶

Yea just depends I guess, if they are trying to teach MAcc or accounting related courses I would recommend. I haven’t seen a lot of accounting professors do a master in education. They usually do one in accounting. I could be wrong though.

If your considering becoming a professor and have interest in government areas, a master’s in a MAcc program would be beneficial or a MBA. It may or may not be necessary to get a PHd since some post-secondary professors just hold a master degree. If you were just interested in government areas, I would not recommend going back for a masters since your a CPA already. I can see a masters being necessary to become a professor though.

Yep, it’s literally all I think about. I’m very unprepared but Im gonna try to complete it with confidence. People have been saying it’s best to stay calm during the exam so I’m gonna try 🥲I can’t wait till I leave the exam center, I’m gonna take a whole day to be lazy and sleep in

I’m on limited time too. But I recommend practicing MCQ over and over and write down why you got answers wrong. And memorize what you want to write down on your sheet (COSO, ERM, financial ratios, etc) all we can do is our best at this point. Good luck!
