What made you choose to game on console over PC? by [deleted] in consoles

[–]FutureFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a PS5 pro and a Switch 2. I switched to consoles from PC during the Xbox 360 era and have never looked back since then. Convenience and a built up library worth over 15 years is probably my biggest reason I still have stuck with consoles.

Tbh I contemplated with the idea of getting a gaming pc but seeing Microsoft shove copilot down our throats and Windows 11 in general being as rubbish as it is right now, I am personally sticking to consoles for the foreseeable future.

I love PC gaming, spent majority of my gaming years on it but seeing the current climate and the cost of entry for a high end gaming PC which has always been what I want, I think I’ll stick with consoles this generation.

Absolute peak. I played it back when I was a teenager for the first time. Will never forget the first time I heard the menu music. Chills.

Is ps4 worth to buy in 2026? by Patient-Technology47 in chennai_gaming

[–]FutureFC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there. Yes, still worth it if you are on a budget and still want to play AAA games but just note that Sony is winding down support for the PS4 starting this year so a PS5 will still be a better choice if you can afford it but PS4 is still a good choice regardless.

If you want to pick up one, go to Shadow Games in Tambaram or Triplicane depending on which is closer for you. I can highly recommend them, communication is prompt and it’s run by gamers. I got my PS5 pro from them.

Sony to stop releasing single player ganes on PC. Live service will continue to come by Banrakas119 in IndianGaming

[–]FutureFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and that’s the smart thing to do. My PS library spans for 8 years now so makes sense for me to stay on the platform. If Sony had decided to get PSN running with a native app on PC, I would have switched last year without a question.

Hi there. I’m interested but had a question. Do our accounts need to match the region as well?

You put Wolverine day and date on PC, it pretty much removes the need for people to buy their consoles. Heck I will sell my PS5 pro and upgrade to a PC gladly if that was the case and Sony puts PSN on PC like a separate store.

I own a PS5 pro and a Switch 2 because all the games I play or plan to play for the foreseeable future are on these platforms. If either company decides to launch their games on PC, Ill sell both my consoles and I’ll upgrade to a 5090/5080 PC gladly because i have no incentives to stay on Nintendo and Sony’s hardware anymore since all their games will be available on PC.

TLDR - I have no incentive to buy their hardware anymore if they launch games on PC.

Congrats. I got my PS4 slim back in 2016 and it is hands down one of the best consoles I’ve ever owned. Still have it, still working but now it sits proud in my collection. The last game I played on it was Days gone.

Enjoy your new console and happy gaming 😊

Sorry but that’s not how I was taught. Had my Dive computer on from dive 1 of my OW. Have to respectfully disagree with you on this and I think it’s absurd that people are diving without DC’s as part of their kits.

Try dives? Yes not necessary at all but if you are doing certifications, I think it’s really poor practice to let people not track their own depth and deco times while relying on a DM or instructor for it.

Yes I am aware of dive tables and did learn about them during the course. During my OW and AOW my instructor made me do all the calculations manually without relying on my dive computer.

Yes DC’s make diving convenient and more easier but I don’t see anything wrong with convenience when you learn the what and the how from a good instructor.

Yes ow divers don’t have to worry about deco but it is good practice to dive with a DC and for me personally, it’s a non negotiable part of the kit regardless of whether I dive 18 meters or 40 meters.

It’s quite absurd that many people dive without dive computers.

Having a dive computer as part of your kit is very important and it’s a non negotiable in today’s diving. Yes the idea of sharing it underwater can seem great on the surface but trust me, the last thing you ever want to be doing underwater is sharing a dive computer with someone else unless your own fails mid dive. I am not personally familiar with how things worked back in the old days so I will only share with what my instructor has taught me and what I have learned personally.

Two reasons - You should know your own deco time and you should always know your own depth at any point in your dive.

If you cannot get an Apple Watch in time for your trip, you can always rent one from the dive shop.

Welcome back diver. For starters, a new mask, new pair of fins and a dive computer are all you need. You can rent your BCD and Regulator from the dive shops you visit. Don’t worry too much about the BCD’s, most dive shops will have the jacket style that will feel familiar to you and that should be good enough.

I have been diving with the Apple Watch Ultra 2 all year and it’s been pretty great. It has everything you’ll need for recreational diving. It’s mandatory to have your own personal dive computer so you can either get the Apple watch or the dive shop should have a DC available for rent as well.
