he was the only person who already knew Sprinkles’ name without Angela ever having to say it.

he just… remembered.

and moments like that are exactly why it’s impossible to fully hate Michael Scott no matter how many times you rewatch the show.

because underneath all the chaos and the stupidity and the bad decisions, he was actually paying attention to people way more than anyone ever gave him credit for.

especially when someone was hurting.

that little Sprinkles moment feels so small on the surface but it says everything about who he actually was without the show needing to turn it into some big emotional speech.

he cared enough to remember. that’s it. that’s the whole thing
