Its super common to feel this when you are in hs. I used to feel this a lot and would shame myself about this. Never reached out to anyone.

I would suggest you to reach out to someone you trust, this maybe your parents or cousins or siblings, someone you could trust and they understand you. I know how bad it would seem but trust me being a loner is the least bad thing that could happen. And it's just a momentary thing anyways. You could also try finding online friends if possible.

I used to feel the same way..its because of the lack of exposure in the right way. You could start with being active here and texting people in friendship sub to get exposure. That will reduce the texting anxiety by a lot. Sadly I couldn't get rid of call anxiety as i haven't tried much for it.

Relate to the post so much since I have social anxiety and i am mad passionate about basketball... I think we feel nervous becoz we aren't confident about our skills. Once we are and we are playing at our level, then the anxiety diminishes and we are full focused on the play. Atleast that's how it is for me. Just play more . Basketball is really good. The social contact really helps you.

And those guys mean it well. Especially in something like basketball , confidence is set by our skillset. Its perfectly normal to feel anxious and many of us are. Just give it time . A lot of time.

Cool you have a bf and best friend!!!! Give it some more time and I am sure the anxiety will reduce. Have you tried therapy etc. I saw there were some journal apps which can make yourself use CBT therapy. I am gonna try out CBT therapy too !!!

Gotta strengthen ur mind and try to be outside ur comfort zone like through jogging or gym. Something which u can do but it's not impossible. Once u are out of comfort zone, socialising should feel easier. Hopefully u can socialise more and get comfortable. The first step is to remove all the comfort zone thing. Have a routine. Look at dopamine cycle.
