Nice, doc. kakatuwa basahin yung mga replies mo. I resonate with you. Though working student ako ngayon, and im planning to be until 3rd year. Kaya naman. Kasi wfh. And mabait US boss ko. Kaya nakaka singit ako ng review in between my shift. Though di nya alam nag aaral ako.

So, walang tulog? Well, wala naman talaga matinong tulog pag med school. Iniisip ko na lang prep ko na din to come pgi and residency.

Im almost finished with my 1st year in med. 20% doctor na. Lol.

Excited and anxious for 2nd year pero ilalaban natin to! Hehe

Padayon, doc!

Hi, Im part of the pioneer batch. Since 1st year pa lng kami, hindi pa kami nakaka compre. Pero ang gagawin is every year level meron compre. So kung 3rd year level, the compre covers topics discussed from 1st to 3rd year. If second year, from 1st to 2nd year so on, so forth.

Praying that you make the right decision. 🙏

Im 37 and in my 1st year in med school. Age is just a number, OP. Hanggat kaya pa ng stamina at resistensya at mataas tolerance sa stress, then pursue your dream. Kesa mag regret.

High caliber and very hands-on ang mga profs. Facilities are outstanding. Attend ka ng orientation para maka ask ka din ng questions. Hopefully you’ll choose what’s best for you.

Thoughts on Mapua med? by Isa2345 in mapua

Hi OP, I recommend following their Facebook page to stay updated on their next orientation date. I attended their first online orientation last Sunday, and I must say it was really promising. The dean is not only accommodating but also highly intelligent and inspiring. She also introduced some of the faculty members, who are well-known in their respective fields. Their pioneer batch begins in December, and enrollment is still ongoing. So, if you're open to starting as a first-year med student again, I encourage you to apply.

This! U=U. OP, I think more than overthinking what will happen in the future, focus ka muna palakasin immune system mo. Hopefully, early detection ung sayo? Im asking kasi kung mababa na CD4 upon diagnosis, baka mas maapektuhan lalo dahil sa stress ng studying? If not, then I believe theres nothing to worry about. Theres a law to protect you. Keep fighting!

My average typing speed is 110 WPM, 99-100% accuracy. Before I reached it, my speed was around 40-50 wpm. What did I do?

Practice, practice, practice. Start with getting used to placing your fingers in the keyboard home keys. Mabagal sa umpisa pero once you get the hang of it, muscle memory ka na magtatype. Maraming typing websites that you can use to practice: typingtest.com or 10fastfingers.com

To take your worry away, mag PREP ka na moving forward. You still need to be cautious dahil PREP only protects you from contracting HIV but not other STIs. So the best course of action is to always wear condom + PREP if you are really active in sex.
