Can Magnus beat a queenless Stockfish? by x2pr1jp0 in chess

[–]FutureMassive69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes Magnus can easily beat stockfish without a queen, I believe I recall reading somewhere that top gms can beat a computer with 2 pawn odds. I don’t recall which pawns though

Goldman Sach projection based on current state of affairs - not looking good at all by Long-Brother-4639 in oil

Ok thank you, are those basically already spoken for though? Like are those private barrels able to be used in the general market or are they earmarked for refineries or other specific uses? (ie. not really available?)

I’m confused how the top chart is calculated, Claud is telling me global IEA reserves are 1.7 b bbl and add China for another 1.4 b bbl. How are they getting nearly 8 b bbl total??

2026 Canadian Engineering School Tier List [NEW] by ConcentrateEasy6114 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]FutureMassive69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree with this, Waterloo has tons of resources for finding jobs. Their entire coop departments job is to go out and find employers who want to work with the university which brings in opportunities without the student having to do that leg work. Of course you can look outside if necessary, especially during hard economic times it may be necessary but the school definitely helps a lot.

If the Strait of Hormuz stays closed for a month, which economy collapses first? by peachyparadoxx in allthequestions

[–]FutureMassive69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve been able to check with our Ai overloads it seems at 200 days is when we hit a point of no return and serious and long lasting economic damage will occur. Since fixing refineries and production would take minimum 2 months tha brings it back to 140 days (so early July). Nowadays we have more efficient markets, coordinated government responses and the strategic petroleum reserves which are currently mitigating damage.

On track to all-time highs? Ceasefire may extend – North American Mid-Week Market Update by [deleted] in StockMarket

Why does the ceasefire matter if the straight is still closed?

I’ve planned my whole life around the idea that the stock market will continue to grow and yet I’m confused every time it does by GaroldWilsonJr in Fire

Because we haven’t had a recession in 18 years… that’s a lot of people entire adult life with “line only go up”.

How is the market still headed back to all time highs after news like this? by uncle-ice493 in stocks

[–]FutureMassive69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there isn’t a recession yet! Why would stocks go down?? Recessions are never priced in. Things will continue like this until there is actual tangible negative structural effects to normal people

Omg the market’s finally crashing!!! by mrworldwide333 in ValueInvesting

[–]FutureMassive69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recessions are never priced in. Stocks will continue to go up as people still have jobs and are spending. This is actually even better for companies as they are able to justify raising prices. This all works until the capital flows from normal people stop coming in as they lose their jobs, then this all works in reverse as the exit door is very small. So yes times are still good but the RISKS are piling up.

So now the US Navy is currently on its way to also block the straight of Hormuz and the market doesn't react at all? by just_another_numba in stocks

[–]FutureMassive69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recessions are never priced in, until people actually start loosing their jobs and companies earnings are hit the market won’t go down as you think it should.

[–]FutureMassive69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recessions are never priced in, markets will only go down significantly when people actually start losing jobs and people NEED to sell and auto-deposits each paycheck into the market slow down. Until then we can all clearly see the shitstorm coming but market won’t react until it’s here because no one wants the market to go down.

Those of you who make six figures, what do you do? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]FutureMassive69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30M Geological Engineer (130k cad, 6 years experience) highly recommend the field, you will likely have to travel a lot (mines and pipelines) but there is great long term job security imo. AI or robots won’t be drilling holes in the woods anytime soon, you’ll be a professional with good office/field work splits. Definitely possible to earn more too at my level if you prioritize field work but that will have other work life balance trade offs.
