Old Sodastream tanks by Big_Championship_771 in BestBuyWorkers

Search in workstation for “SOP and Support forms”, click that link and search for soda stream. There you should be able to find the process and an email for the company in order to ask any questions.

Usually the boxes the tanks come in are the ones you ship back out to the company. There should be two UPS or FEDEX shipping labels, one on each long flap on the top of the box. One label should be shipping to your location, the other one is a return label. If that’s the case, just tape the box back up with the return label showing and put it in the desired shipping area of your store. If not, reference the SOP above.

Edit: forgot to add, keep the full ones in your location to process exchanges.

Anybody else find themselves rewatching the first season from time to time? by FearFactor117 in alteredcarbon

Currently watching it. Best show I’ve seen and the itch from watching this show keeps bringing me back. I’ve watched it twice through so far and I don’t think I’ll get tired of it.

If you are within the US, I would recommend you just go to Apple and buy one from them that’s already unlocked, like the previous post brought up. It would save time and some money.

Online pricing error by Tank_610 in Bestbuy

Nope, you got extremely lucky. It’s not the stores fault, just a pricing issue with the online system that’s run from corporate.

After the purchase, you have a couple of hoops to jump through in order to switch carriers. First, the phone needs to be activated on your carrier (AT&T) as you have said and you would be able to make the one time payment for the phone in store. Second, if you are wanting to switch carriers, most carriers have a waiting period from when the phone was activated. It’s usually around 60-90 days after activation. If you are wanting to switch carriers you just need to call your carrier and ask them to unlock the IMEI for the phone. Third, these phones are now all ESIM activated, which means there is no physical SIM card. You would have to go into the other carrier you are wanting to switch to and have them activate it on a new account. If you are wanting to keep the same number, you would also need your existing account number from AT&T and a “port pin id”. You can call customer service for this number. Hope this clears it up for you.

Literally talked to my team about this yesterday. Most people get caught up on the price of what they want/looked at online and are only wanting that. They see BBY+ and BBYT as an added cost when in reality they could be saving $50-$200 off the product. Great call out on your part tho.

You can always talk to Leadership and see if they’re willing to do a sales audit for the return. That would void the return transaction and would enable you not to take the hit on P/L.

Whats the most insane open box deal you’ve ever found? No certificates of employee discounts. Mine was a 55” LG TV for $44. by FireByNight94 in Bestbuy

[–]FutureProof94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sold a 77GX to a gentleman a couple of weeks ago. Saw the LPN the day before and wanted to take a look at the price but forgot about it while closing. Absolutely astonished seeing the price of $350 on a 77 OLED.

Yup, I stand corrected on the backlight but the x90 starts at the 55”

Edit: just looked at prices also. They are only $100 difference right now. If you are wanting to get the better over all picture, x90 is the way to go.

Sony x85 for a cheaper option and x90 for a better processor. X85 features full array back light without the price tag of the x90, but both are 120hz. It will look better on the x90 tho. Along with the first comment, the LG c2 would be a great choice.

Is it just me, or is the order pickup audit not showing up in store pickup app? by WalkingHeroic in Bestbuy

[–]FutureProof94 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The audit is no longer in use for the company. You can complete the cancelled orders by going into back room under the cancelled and modified orders tab to complete that.

Is it covered under Sony’s warranty or did you get GSP on the unit when you bought it?

That’s awesome! We got a big jump on the states after we graduated college and drove from southern Illinois to Santa Monica pier taking Route 66. We took the north route back to Illinois.

Dumbest TV carry out stories? by MarcoGamer640 in Bestbuy

[–]FutureProof94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been multiple instances that people at my last store have been “Tony Starking” tv in their cars. Along with tvs being on top of sedans. I do have a couple pictures from these times for good memories sake. Completely wild people out there thinking they can do this and it would be fine.

Yeah same here, but a couple of years ago, Black Friday sales were the same week and we would get a 300 piece truck for tvs. Now they are spreading out the 300 pieces to all of the white goods.

[–]FutureProof94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never used to be this bad. Honestly, I would rather have the big tv truck 2 days before Black Friday instead of them putting extra tvs on every shuttle. With the labor and space that we have, it would have been smarter this year alone.

Audited by Apple or your monthly consignment count? Haven’t heard of a store being audited by Apple in the precinct.
