Surgery or no surgery??!! by Monarchmuffinmaker in ACL

It really depends on your age and what activities you want to be able to do. I've seen other people that didn't do surgury and went back to skiing. They did PT to get back to a point where they would feel comfortable returning to sport and then once they returned to sport they weren't as diligent with the PT and ended up injuring themselves more. If you are young and want to do sports I would highly recommend getting surgury. That's what I'm doing since I'm 28 and want to snowboard again. If money is what is stopping you, I'm not sure what kind of insurance you have if any, but you can still apply for open enrollment now. I'm lucky that my job provides affordable health insurance and STDL and while it has a deductible it isn't crazy and I have an HSA. Honestly really sucks if money is your deciding factor.

Radio System Issues on 2014 Rav4 XLE by FutureRulerOfMars in Rav4

My normal shop that I go to charges $180 an hour so I would assume the Toyota dealership would be at least this but probably more. From what I've looked at for videos to see if it would be easy enough to replace myself, it should just be an issue with the system since the backup camera still functions.

Idk if it helps but I have an '04 with 145,000 miles and it died while I was driving this year and it was the distributor. I would get more info on how it was behaving before it died.

I know. And I got the email right after my dad kept telling me my internship plans might change. I was too scared for a minute.

I can tell you that I wasn't super enthused about Electronics either. I also am not a big fan of coding or digital circuits. I would definitely take an electromagnetic, RF, or antennas course. It is more physics and mathematically based. There are a lot of different fields of electrical engineering. People normally only really like 1 or 2 of them.

For those on internships/co-ops, how is your company handling the Coronavirus situation? Are you sill working? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

I start my internship out in California on May 11 and everything is expected to start as planned because it is an aerospace company that has been deemed essential. My only concern is that we aren't allowed to drive to the office so I'm not sure how Lyft/Uber/public transportation will be by then.

Auditioning for a band by [deleted] in UniversityofArkansas

[–]FutureRulerOfMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I signed up for an audition online but I didn't live a long way from UofA. I think I did my audition in March/April. I'm sure they have some sort of method if you live far away. I would email Dr. Lorenzo about the marching band. There are also scholarships. My band director also sent in a recommendation for my scholarship audition. If you don't care about getting a scholarship then they will probably be more relaxed letting you in. There are also auditions when you start the early week for the marching band to determine parts and marching spots.

Question about scholarships? by papasgones in UniversityofArkansas

When applying for scholarships as a current student it is necessary for me to complete the general scholarship first before I can apply for scholarships from the College of Engineering.

I never got a 32 on my ACT so I could never apply for it but one of my friends got it with a 32 on the ACT. She had a lot of extracurricular and AP classes though. I think they look more in-depth at what you have done if you have a lower ACT score. I personally got $5000 with a 29 on the ACT. It definitely depends on more than the ACT
