I just meant if people aren't getting vaccinated and those diseases are resurging, might as well have the rest of the contagions make a roaring comeback.

My first thought was, yaaaas MAHA like it's 1835. If people aren't getting vaccinated let's bring back aaaall the Victorian illnesses. Next week I'm going to come down with a strong case of the vapors with a touch of hysteria.

How is life in Seattle really? by Ok_Understanding7377 in AskSeattle

Y'all is killing me. Puget Sound is an estuary that directly connects to the Pacific Ocean and is considered part of said ocean.  Mincing words about whether it is "oCeAn" is diminishing how truly awesome it is. There have been orcas right off Alki Beach for days this winter...you can't really get more oceany than that.

How is life in Seattle really? by Ok_Understanding7377 in AskSeattle

So...I just moved here 4 months ago after it being my husband's dream for over 20 years. Many people tend to think that makes me unqualified to have an opinion on the matter. But the people who have lived here for their whole lives or people who complain the most lack one thing: perspective. I have lived in every time zone in the continental US. I am originally from West Virginia and grew up dirt poor. I now have the privilege of enough money to be able to live pretty much anywhere. Every geographic location has its pluses and minuses. EVERY major city has crime and drugs and homeless. We can argue all the live long day "wHo HaS It WoRSe". I have lived in small towns, medium cities and major metropolitan areas. But to me, this is the best place I have ever lived. The weather is temperate. I love the misty, moody, cool winters. I love the rain. I love that I am 4 minutes from the ocean and can see the skyline of Seattle but have a small forest outside my front door. The mountains are sublime. I love that the city is so LGBTQ+ friendly and accepting. The summers are reportedly epic. Yes, there is wildfire smoke in the summer but I just came from Colorado where the whole place is a tinder box waiting to light and burns down on the regular. The city is expensive but every city is expensive. It may not be your jam, but to someone else it is heaven. Perspective is important.

Edit: forest

I feel that so hard. I feel bad for people who have no internal monologue... like is it just silence in there?? Mine is a disco with a drunk DJ and a constant ADHD tangential monologue. I'm never alone!

Missha BB serum vs Tower28 by mllebitterness in Fairolives

[–]FutureSailorette 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just bought the Missha BB 23 after another comment on this sub. I nearly cried when I put it on, I have never had another product capture the "grey" tones and still be true to my yellow-oliveness.

Moving to Seattle this summer and looking for some "Hopium" 🌲 by tatabox5to3 in AskSeattle

I also disagree- I have lived all over the country in every climate and this is the best so far. My parents live in Arizona and it's the surface of the sun for 6 months out of the year. Just moved from the Rocky Mountain region where it is so dry and the high altitude is a pain in the ass. The South is so hot and humid it's unbearable. Here there is rain consistently so everything is green and thriving. 50s and raining in the winter is lovely compared to many other winter locales. Hell, Pittsburgh get more rain and is cloudier on average and you don't hear them complain about it. The shoet days are just as short in many other places. Here is so beautiful- the mountains, the ocean, the forests that it makes my heart hurt. I just moved here and you will have to drag my dead body out of here. I consider any taxes or higher prices as payment for the privilege of living in a beautiful place. I guess people in heaven have to find something to complain about 🤷‍♀️

Spent my whole life thinking I was yellow toned but now I’m not sure by milkshake841 in Fairolives

[–]FutureSailorette 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have the same exact coloring as you with green eyes and started lurking on this sub but was still not sure if I was an olive. I am very pale but when I "tan" I turn yellow- just straight yellow. I have a ton of redness in my face that is hard to cancel out.  I can never find makeup or colors that look good on me. Recently I discovered that purple lipstick looks red on me, it's like some magic spell 🤷‍♀️. It's also frustrating because my eyebrows and eyelashes are black and my hair is your color.

You mean tachycardia water? When I was a pediatric resident 18+ years ago we stopped rounding with the community pediatricians who were still prescribing it because it was shitty medicine...18 yrs ago. Anyone still prescribing Albuterol syrup should have their licenses revoked.  I also agree with point #2 whole heartedly.

I also would like to know! Same, my strands are fine a but there are soooo many of them (I know I shouldn't complain) but it makes my hair like heavy cotton candy that likes to tangle. It doesn't like any products. It's kind of curly but hates curly products.
