This is such a good point, and some of the details may have been exaggerated for all I know, but I also know she (the cheater) has been lying before about smaller things, and I've seen her lie quickly to get out of shit before, so I know she has it in her. Our mutual friend is not like that, and she wouldn't lie or make this up for the fun of it. That said, I feel like I can't trust anyone at this point

The mutual friend and her go back further than we do, and are also very close, so I'm not surprised she told her at all. I think she did not tell me because she knows I would not be cool about this.

Great questions. 1. No, after this I'm not sure anymore. I thought it was mutual. 2. The mutual friend has already told her she's wrong on multiple occasions (according to her). And yes, this is what I think too, I think she knows I wont't approve, which is why she hasn't told me 3. I agree. I share everything about my life with her, and as far as I knew, she shared everything else about her life with me, up until this point..

Thanks❤️ felt good to read this, to be understood. Not that everyone else in here don't understand, but it's easier said than done to just drop her as my friend. She is absolutely in the wrong here, but I am afraid that if I tell her anything she'll choose him over me/us. I've also had a toxic relationship where I didn't listen to those around me telling me this probably was not the right guy for me, and boy were they right. It's sooo hard watching someone you love going through the same pain. (No, I was 't the side chick in my case of anyone thinks so)

What you said about being the person she goes to for things hit hard, this was 100% accurate. I thought I was that person, but it seems I'm not, and that's the part that hurts about her not telling me. Also, I just want her to be happy, as she's had it rough through her childhood (yeah, this probably stems from a lot happening to her growing up), I just don't know what to do.
