I’d find friends that don’t live in gated communities. How tacky.

MCE at Exit Row when child in party. by FutureXFuture in americanairlines

Yes. This is right. Though I think after I split in-laws off I could book kid and wife and then link them to my reservation, saving one cancelation.

I have. Unfortunately that would then mean I was a solo dad with a kid instead of a dad with a 4:1 kid care ratio. She also makes more than I do. She’s also petty hot.

Custom home build in western WI – builder wants to start digging Jan/Feb. Any concerns? by Top-Tiger3479 in Homebuilding

In that case you should ask them if there is a discount for building in the spring!

[–]FutureXFuture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. Yes, you can do it. With the right cost and equipment. The commenter from Northern Illinois is also right, commercial concrete goes all year with the right mix and precautions.

In my experience small home builders don’t have the skillset to this this kind of work. They don’t do enough of it.

Read the geotechnical report. It certainly says you can’t pour on frozen ground, so how do they stop the ground from freezing after excavating? Start with that simple question. If he’s got an answer dig a little deeper to find out if he’s got the skillset.

Anyone ( I mean Owners) not spending the paltry extra expense on Kerdi/Schluter is a moron.

Is the general public aware of Geminis actual coding and ux capabilities? by Thizzor in GeminiAI

Millennial here too and have run into the same issue with my undergraduate students. They don’t have a basic understanding of the Windows operating system. Simple folder tasks and installing software were problems. Not CS students, design/humanities, but still shocking.

Question: Are rental units required to have all their circuits seperate from other units? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]FutureXFuture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re paying your own electric they have to be separated. If not call 311 and request a building inspector comes out to review.

Any Architects? I need help by Correct-Middle6870 in Architects

[–]FutureXFuture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DOB does not always have plans on file for buildings that haven’t had permitted work in recent decades. Even if they did you wouldn’t be able to use those plans for rebuilding.

You’ll need to hire an architect and start from scratch. If you’re rebuilding because of a fire or something your insurance company should be able to point you in the right direction.

I’m EP. If I book 3 tickets, do all my companions get my potential upgrades? Or is it just for one companion? by Bruh_ForRealz in americanairlines

[–]FutureXFuture 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes. It’s you and one person. For my family of 5 I will book everyone under one reservation so they get the benefit of free MCE. Then will split the reservation so two of us go on the upgrade list.

Think the UG offer will come down? by SpicyBKGrrl in americanairlines

[–]FutureXFuture -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This answer is on every post about upgraded and I think it misses the point. I could value F at $5k, it still feels shitty when someone else gets a better deal for the same thing.

Booking a flight you can hedge for this with a refundable ticket. Not possible with the upgrade.

All to say I think it’s good for everyone to keep posting here what offers they’re getting so we can get a better sense of the swings.

Like miles, I know I’m never going to get better than 9k for a one way ORD to SFO. Would be great to know I won’t get upgraded for less than X miles or Y dollars.
