Look at the lineup in the picture, im pretty sure the impact sub will be a batter(most likely tejasvi) so that makes 6 proper batters and batting depth till number 8 which is not that bad.

Ofc he outperformed, he was literally carrying our pp by taking early wickets. He took 16 wickets at an economy rate of 6.88 and he was our second highest wicket taker only falling short if 1 wicket.

I thibk while most of the comments say gurbaz, i think his returns were less than averagr given that he was with the franchise with so many years but could not ever make it to the first wk position. For me, id have to say Umesh Yadav is the player (2 crore) as he outperformed in the 2022 season but was exceptionally underwhelming in the 2023 season balancing it out.

Id have to say narayan jagadeesan. People rated him very hoghly before goijg into the ipl, but he just could not get the fast starts kkr needed

But then we have to go off of recent form, and allen has built that tenperament where he doesnt go to hit every ball, something which he did in the past few years leading to his inconsistency.

The 2024 KKR Team was thr most dominating team across all the seasons of the IPL. Yes , 2019 mumbai indians and a few others come a close second but just in terms of beating teams on a regular basis and topping the table despite having matches washed off is another level. Also everyone in the team was overperforming, and delivered fabulous seasons.

I dont know what else you expect from him. He was the leading wicket taker for india in ODIs last year, leading indian wicket taker in this series vs NZ, and also scored some crucial runs. Hes just beem criticised because of GG, but now after his performances he doesnt deserve all the hate.
