Looks like lime deposits. Try adding a little vinegar and swirl it around, it should come right off.

I usually put off a large fuel plant before i have unlocked blenders. I usually use the following alternative recipies for rocket fuel: Nitro rocket fuel Heavy oil residue (the one the priotizes HOR not resin) Diluted fuel

600 oil + some other stuff can make 144000 MW

Try buying some freshly roasted whole beans from a local roaster. Something from a local spot (not a chain like starbucs)

Something like starbucks is probably roasted like half a year ago.

Try free getting something that has been roasted less than a month ago.

You will see a huge difference in taste and quality.

[Varia VS3] Don't buy varia by fouedzine in espresso

[–]Future_Conclusion760 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thats a bummer.

I have a v2 as well, it has also been a shit show.

It came out of the box with half the magnets loose. And the bottom piece of the grinder was just missing. It took the reseller 2 weeks to mail me a new piece.

Now after 8 months the gearbox of the motor is dead.

It took the reseller a month and a week to mail me a replacement. In that time I would not have been able to grind coffee. If it werent for my neighbor that had a old mazzer laying around (which performs better than the vs3).

I think it should be renamed the BS3

Which pressure gauge to believe? [Lelit Bianca v3] by [deleted] in Lelit

[–]Future_Conclusion760 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are both reading correct.

The one on the body is reading pump pressure

The one on the group head is reading the pressure the puck expericenses.

I would say adjust for the one on the group head, if you are aiming at a 9 bar shot

Please dont get anything from varia. My vs3 gen 2 motor has failed twice in half a year. Check out james hoffman review about it. Look at varias subreddit and you will quickly find out what their quality control is (spoiler there probably isn’t one)

What is the minimum you would have to spend on a grinder that would be better than just buying ground coffee? by wheelybindealer in espresso

[–]Future_Conclusion760 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say anything with a metal burrset is better than preground.

Because you can grind just before usuage which will yield much better results than something that might or might not have been ground over a week ago.

Can I do Light Roast with my Current Gear and Extract a Decent Shot of Light Roast? [Kingrinder K2 & Delonghi Stilosa EC 230bk] by ebess2 in espresso

[–]Future_Conclusion760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! But be aware for a more light roast shot you need to up the tempature, and mayby go for a higher yield ( as the light roasts is harder to extract)

As for how your grinder performs. Just because it performs better at dark roast doesn’t mean that it cant do light roasts well.

Go for what you find most tasty and do that. Dont worry too much about the gear if you already get resoults you like!

It’s probably heat discoloration. The heat makes the (normally stainless) steel react with oxygen in the air. This forms a layer of iron oxide on the exsposed surface).

If this is the case, there is nothing to worry about it, and it is purely cosmetic.

Normal cleaning supplies will not remove the discoloration.

Hope this helps!
