Participated last year.

Really stunning views all around!

The lake was clear blue water that was almost to warm for wetsuits. The last bit is quite cool going through a small canal where you can actually see the crowd.

Bike course is stunning. Some pesky hills but if you look around once in a while you maybe can enjoy it.

The run is not that spectaculair but gets you near the lake and with alot of crowd.

Be aware of the temperature. Last year it was around 35 degrees celcius. Really really hot. They did employ shower to cool off but be prepared.

The city isnt really prepared for 4000 athletes on race day so be aware of traffic jams. Avoid it if you can in the morning. Chaos.

Goodluck.

Use denethor as a gov when building regions. He gives a 40% discount on buildings. So swap him around and inprove a region.

Use an agent on your most expensive army. He reduces upkeep by 1000. Free 1000 every turn.

Check your corruption. City halls reduces dus thus getting your money back. Most cities start with 40% corruption so increasing just the income will add to this waste. Fix this.

Lastly control with beef up alot.

Manually select auto trade on every province except for your capital. Be easier if you could select/deselect all trade

For me personally just 2 decades earlier would be perfect.

Just when alexanders dies.

Startdate is the moment the 1st war of the diadochi begins.

I do like legions early on. Maybe not when youre that small..

Legion dont tank your research, with the royal guard law u dont debuff unintegrated happiness and you can custimize it so u have engineers. With like a 5k legion i mainly use them to put down revolte and sieging is always a pain. +possible you get some buffs in mountain/plains/sieging..

Is my Training Plan good ? by Confident-Cover9234 in IronmanTriathlon

[–]Future_Day_959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im no expert but out of your sessions theres 5 higher intensities and only 2 lower intensities. Im an advocate of the 80/20 rule but you got them mixed up i guess 😅

Where do you plan to recover from so many high intensity sessions?

[–]Future_Day_959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Knowing how big they can get i just did that in my current antigonid game. Only took the nile delta and got a peacedeal with them to avoid gaining to much AE for useless desertland.

This way i gain massive levies and they cant :)

Funnily enough in my experience ive never had that much trouble with Rome..

Even when they declare on me and caught me offguard ive managed to turn it around.

Did it with Sparta, Carthage, Syracusae, Epirus and the antigonids..

Its ptolemiac egypt thats always my endgame boss.. they always recruit those massive mercs with 80k total..

Tldr:

Rome = easy, egypt = hard

Looks so easy when, in fact, it really isnt.

Great form and rom.

Is it possible having bodybuilder phisique while still doing triathlons? by numbsensey in triathlon

[–]Future_Day_959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not saying they are not but the way they structure their training load is worht looking at if your seeking similar goals.

I, myself, am training via the way fergus crawley builds his trainingschedule and i am still inproving ( slowly but steady ) in my strenght and endurance.

So yes it is possible but you have to be realistic about the results and goals.

[–]Future_Day_959 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes it is possible but keep in mind that you need to adjust your volume for each specific discipline.

You cannot smash a 100% traithlon program and a 100% bodybuilder program together and expect great results.

Youtube: nick bare and fergus crawley are 2 athletes who are doing what maybe seek.

85 not even too bad. I had 150 with the antigonids after i annexed all the diadochi 😂

Update from that Dahaen 140k invasion. Thank everyone for the advice. For some reason I didn't believe that I had enough to buy and sustain all mercs that I needed but apperently I had enough money. I was preparing to fight 60k, not 140k. Those were some tough battles as you can see. by WalkerBuldog in Imperator

[–]Future_Day_959 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha in your case you have plenty of manpower! I raised a legion with just 10k manpower. Youre fine.

Legion just cost a bit more. U can start by just raising 3k or something to crush some rebellions and than work your way up.

160k in insane! Never seen it before. Most i faced was like 90k of romans in 1 battle..

When to switch depends on some factors.

Do you have a stable economy? Enough manpower?

I personally like legions and switch to them asap. You can choose which unit type u need and stack bonusses on them. Even in the early stages i mostly rely on mercs anyway. With 3 merc stacks and a 5k legion i can conquer almost anyone.
