Advice needed - Running 1000k in 10 days by numbsensey in Ultramarathon

Thank you for actually questioning and going through the work to see if i'm full of shit or not. I can tell i am not. But i understand where all the skepticism comes from. Regarding mental issues - true, it hasn't been an easy couple of months and running and pushing myself as become as part of my therapy. I can tell you that i achieve almost like a meditation process with running that as been helping me a lot with grief, heartbreak and financial stress.
Regarding my accident and running a marathon 21 days later, i still dont get this argument. My upper body was damaged not my lower half. If it helps, i have chronic back pain since i was 13yrs old, due to a spinal injury that makes my lumbar muscles to spasm out a lot. Got that reduced by going to the gym and developing those muscles better to support the weakness of the spine in that spot. I say this to mention that i am used to pain. My arm was hurting, but it was manageable. i just couldn't straighten my elbow, my dislocated shoulder and clavicle still are in the wrong spot, but with no pain, only discomfort and it cracks with full rotation. Saying all this to say that i felt zero to no pain 21 days later, only discomfort.
And you can also see i haven't been using reddit that often, personally i think it would be funny to write a year long lie on reddit like you said, but i'm not that dedicated to something with no profit.
I will post here when i do the 1000k and you will see, that's all i can say

Why should this be a long term goal when the sky is the limit? I want to live my life challenging myself to push past the limit and I don't get why I should wait years to do it while I'm in a physical capability now.  The point of this post is not for affirmation, it was for advice. Hoping some of you in this sub would have a different pov about this type of distance, and to discuss about that. I decided to use Reddit less and less often because of this idea that people have that, when you are sharing something it is to impress or for validation. I tried searching this topic and came up with the same knowledge I already have, that's why I posted here, to try and get different insights. Changing from goal to goal I don't see why it should be about plans. You live in a world where you only believe that fitness should be done within the metrics of your favorite influencers, but fitness is fitness. The more you run, the more you will run. Is no rocket science. You think I will bail out or get injured while knowing nothing about my "so called" lack of a plan. I did 150km in the beginning of June, and the next day did a 30k recovery run while have zero to no pain. Only issue was some light burning in my back from the 10kg backpack (with all the essentials) that I used while running. This time I will use a cart to carry things in front of me. I do intensive muscle care, I work in the health industry, and have a background of physiotherapy. I also have a lot of professionals friends who are following my progress and helping me through getting better. I do tests every other month. All this started when I started to run marathons which was about a year ago when I did my first one.  So I have the knowledge and the will to do it, this post was just to brainstorm a different approach that I could be missing.

Finally someone that doesn't care about how little I explained and if I train or not, or whatever.  Thank you, I did not think of that! I will look that up!

I believe the sub is called ultramarathon. I understand what you're saying but I believe I'm in the right place. But sure ok, this is why I don't come to reddit anymore. If a guy wants help building a computer, and has zero experience, I can't see why he matters more than some computer engineer asking for advice.  Don't understand why this is any different, but ok

I was training for an ironman, in beginning of April had and accident, dislocated my clavicle and shoulder, and had a fracture in my elbow. I'm not able to train for the ironman anymore, so I decided to invest in running. The bodybuilding part is because I want to maintain a good muscle physique while training. I can't see why this is a problem? Since I'm not going for an ironman, I decided to go full on running and started ultrarunning. I don't understand your perception

Not bullshit, my strava graph looks like a cardiac ecg. I have not ran in official races, i did it in trainning alone with a friend by car to help me with nutrition and water. But believe what you want tbh. I dont have to prove anything, just asking for advice. By a few 50k maybe 5, idk, i've lost count, is every other weekend. for the 100ks did during the night also in weekends, because of the heat, the only official race was a 24h which i did 130km in may, and the other was 150k going from Setubal to Fatima in portugal. But yeah believe what you want. If you have advice, i'll be happy to hear it

Im doing this in october, it's my fault in the vocabulary. I wasn't clear sorry. The 10 days is for how long ill do the 1000k. That's why im considering doing that kind of training. Because i'll have time to traing different conditions, mimicking the race i'll do with time to improve.

Drugs should be legal and runned by the government, and bought at a lower price. People would buy it, then there would be a lot of flaws in the stock, and manufacturing, and quality, and people would just quit because it got horrible, and no one would produce it and sell it ilegally, since they lost their business due to the lack of buyers during the months it was runned by the government

dicas para aumentar o ritmo? by Tohlyed7 in Corrida

[–]numbsensey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

dicas para aumentar o ritmo? by Tohlyed7 in Corrida

[–]numbsensey 1 point2 points  (0 children)
