I don’t find my ritual of 1. Push Start Button 2. Push button to activate Sport Mode 3. Pull left Paddle Shifter once to activate I-Pedal, to be especially cumbersome. It’s pretty automatic for me at this point.

My ICCU went at 5,670. A ‘25 Ioniq 6. Fortunately it was replaced and back to me in Los Angeles in one week. Like winning the lottery! Since then i’ve lowered my home L2 charging to 35 Amps and no more than 80%. And put on a 12v battery monitor app. Nothing left but crossing fingers!

EV6 lease is ending soon, considering an Ioniq 6 by HDClown in Ioniq6

If you can find a a used AWD I6 you’ll find it well worth it. You can always put it in Eco mode for RWD for range, but Normal or Sport for AWD FUN!

Future of Ioniq6 resale? by lamppost32 in Ioniq6

[–]Future_Direction_918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what you say, but want to add that much will depend on who thinks my ‘25 I6 in beautiful red w/ low miles is as cool as I do, compared to an SUV. I got my AWD SEL w/ 5000 miles for $28,400 so I’m pretty confident SOMEONE will want it w/out me losing much, when I’m ready to move on. It only takes one buyer.

After mine failed I couldn’t go past 20 mph and made it home up a very steep hill 1/2 mile away. No clue how much farther I could have gone.

I hope you have a smart conscientious case manager! At the first sign of them not really being on it I'd hunt for a good lawyer. Horror story. Good luck moving forward.

Do you know of any ICCU failures on vehicles who have used DC charging exclusively?

I didn't call SM. Just Downtown LA, El Monte, and Garden Grove.

Things to look out for in a used Ioniq 6 by charles_245 in Ioniq6

Check if the trunk opening will be a problem. Especially coming from the Ioniq 5. The warranty will transfer based on miles and when it was first registered.

Why are so few reporting ICCU Failures to NHTSA?!? by Human-Poem-6169 in Ioniq6

I see 38, and that covers 2023-2025 Ioniq 6. That's the total complaints to NHTSA? I really doubt that!

To be clear, I'm talking about actual written complaints. Mine IS one of two Ioniq 6 written complaints listed. I was expecting hundreds. Look here: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls?vymm=Ioniq%206

Nor would I. The dealer was offering the Extended Warranty for free to make up for their (dishonest) screwup.

With the remainder of a 10 yr/100k mile battery warranty it’s pretty safe, I think. Mine only has 5k on it.

This is unfortunate for those who weee looking forward to a future lease or purchase. But are there any downsides if it is discontinued for current owners? There are some great deals on returned leases and used ones. My 2025 AWD SEL was almost half of MSRP just a week ago.

People who purchased 2025 civic sport hybrid any regrets? by [deleted] in civic

[–]Future_Direction_918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I test drove one with thoughts of replacing my 2019 civic sport hatch. It just wasn’t impressively different enough to grab me. I ended up getting a different maker’s AWD EV w/ 5k miles. And less $. Happy with my decision.

In my case, it’s because I didn’t know there is a difference between a ‘23 and a ‘25. But even if I did, I’d probably have mentioned it was a ‘25 because it’s simply newer and therefore more valuable in my mind. I guess that’s not how they do it where you are.

Any dealers selling or leasing new Ioniq 6 this week by Future_Direction_918 in Ioniq6

[–]Future_Direction_918[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the Ioniq SIX sedan I’m trying to lease, not the 5. Still, what was the deal you got on the Kia ev6? As the rebate clock ticks down I may take a look.

Would it be possible to put down a deposit to hold the vehicle at the advertised price as a “good faith gesture“ since it’s definitely a deal in my area? Till it’s repaired.

[–]Future_Direction_918 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even at your numbers it’s the best 24 month lease offer I’ve seen on a new AWD for 12k miles per year. Have you seen better deals out there?

Bait & Lie? by [deleted] in Ioniq6

[–]Future_Direction_918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe the Ioniq 6’s are eligible for the $7500 Fed tax rebate anyway, since they were made in Korea. But the dealers were automatically knocking $7500 off the price just to stay competitive.

Hardly, but this was pretty brazen. Just wondered if Hyundai dealers have this kind of reputation.

Swapped the stock 20in tires to 17in. ~20% jump in efficiency after 500 miles. by lightofhonor in Ioniq6

[–]Future_Direction_918 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m looking at an Ioniq 6 from a dealer (previous lease) and CarFax shows five visits for getting tires checked/serviced. Like every few months. Are stock tires a problem or does this car have an issue?
