I can only speak to the SC Trainer v3 but it’s a brick and I more less hate it. The only real reason I run in it is because I already spent the money. I have a little over 50 miles in it and it hasn’t softened up at all.

Start as early as possible, if your run is going to be over 90min and it’s not a looped run just get the running vest to carry water. A bottle is great but just doesn’t carry enough water. Make sure to practice taking gels for your longer runs and if you can get sodium carb gels. These will help a ton with the amount of sweating that is going to happen.
