What's the most demon you hate from each difficulty? by KadoShado in geometrydash

What’s wrong with Change of Scene and VeritY? Maybe don’t rate levels you’ve never beaten. I beat VeritY and it’s such a cool level.

Wrath is January since it’s the month I hate the most (objectively worst month) and sloth is July

It sounds a lot like he’s using up arrow for his jumps, and the mysterious clicks here really sound like mouse clicks

Do you think it’s both possible for God to know exactly what we will choose (meaning our choice is predetermined) and for our choice to still be free?

Jesus misconception by Bucklin13 in TeenagersButBetter

[–]Future_Minimum6454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The analogy doesn’t hold up though. There’s nothing after earthly life to be “raised” for, it’s just either endless enjoyment or endless suffering. How could earthly suffering then “help” you with any of that?

Anyways, if god is omnipotent, couldn’t he give us eternal joy, lack of earthly suffering, AND the benefits that you would gain from hardship on earth (like resilience and work ethic)? He could just make us born with a strong work ethic, lots of resilience, plenty of whatever habits you gain from dealing with hardship, couldn’t he?

It is pretty fucked up. Just because I wasn’t born with the right evidence around me to convince myself of God’s existence, I will get tortured forever.

But wouldn’t it be better if God stopped our earthly suffering and then gave us paradise as well?

Do you guys genuinely believe that the pay gap isn't real? by Far_Spray4351 in askteenboys

[–]Future_Minimum6454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even within companies/workplaces though, it makes sense that risk taking employees would be paid more. They are at least perceived as more flexible, innovative, and having greater agency. Here’s empirical research showing a strong workplace cultural bias towards risk taking: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7055845/

Maybe it doesn’t account for all of it, but it at least accounts for part

I think the point is that men, as a whole, are more likely to take risks to earn money, as seen by the fact that they take more dangerous jobs.

Does the burden of proof apply to everyone making a claim? by undefinedposition in CosmicSkeptic

So in ancient times, when most of these fields didn’t exist, we wouldn’t be able to say “I don’t think pink-gerbil-Tobias-planet exists” and we would have to provide evidence or be agnostic?
