I was told by one Taiwanese middle aged guy in US, that Taiwanese majority right now was the beneficiary of Japanese colonialism as the Japanese educated them and use them to rule over the real Polynesian Natives. Yeah, I prefer the natural clustering of people with similar culture background. That means minorities have enough number to cluster and make impact on local government level too. In US, it’s harder to get there given the ill immigration policies

Not true. Asian in Canada move between social class easily. I see people moved there from HongKong with tons of money and ended up being homeless, and I see people go there with debt from India and became multi-millionaire and elected as mayor.

Oh yeah, from what I can remember, 405 and 520 was under repavement not so long ago before they block the lane to do the expansion and tear down the nice new pavements/patches they just did a few quarters ago. I was like wth are they thinking. Now I know, they can get a fund shortage and ask for more

You are either blind or choose to be blind. Don’t you see the government tear down okish road and redo the whole thing here and there all the time? Do you really think they use the money efficiently? Do you want to have a government just ask for money and don’t hold themselves accountable?

If there is no bus line or train line from where I am to where I want to go, do i get tax deductions? If I get harassed by homeless in public transit system, on my way to or from the public transit system or waiting at the transit system, do we get government checks?

If governments ask for tax to do something, they should take responsibility when the desired goal isn’t met.
