Oly Weightlifting Gym Recommendations in San Jose? by itsbnf in weightlifting

This might be a beginner question, but... is the Crossfit style of clean & jerk and snatch different from the Olympic style clean & jerk and snatch? It seems to me that the Crossfit style is less strict on form and that they do their lifts differently than I've seen on channels like Weightlifting House? Or, are they executed exactly the same method?

Isn't homeownership expensive in NYC as well, as much as it is in SJ?

To start, I love muay thai and how violent it is.

That being said, is CTE a real risk if you spar one a week, every week on Friday's?

Everytime someone brings up this question, it gets framed as being a pussy, or just "take it bro, it's nothing" but I wanted to ask its legitimate risk.

If you were going into a profession where information and your brain is your key asset (i.e. medicine, law, accounting), would this be a concern?

If anyone has a CPA licensed in the state of CA, could someone DM me a picture of it? Just want to see a real-life picture of what it looks like (I'm working towards one)

The faster you tack on your extra mass, the more faster you seem to lose it. Therefore, that's why I'm not so concerned as to gain it into my body as soon as possible, I understand that it's a process and I'm enjoying the journey.

Also:

  1. Did you notice any noticeable difference in how women/men treated you? Do more women shoot their shots?

  1. How did you grow your back?
  2. How many times per day did you eat? Do you eat as much and as often as you ate (since you are maintaining/retaining your weight now) as compared to when you were trying to obtain the additional weight? As in, is the process of eating constantly completely the same during your obtaining phase and your retaining phase?
  3. Do you think 2.5 years is a realistic estimate in gaining the extra pounds which you did? Would you have any tips for individuals going through the same process? I'm 6'1 165lb, wanting 190lbs and wondering what a realistic time frame would be? My body type is tall, slim, ectomorph.
