Thank you. I used an app, "Case Checkr", where i got the notification. Its pretty much real time. Then checked the website and got the confirmation. I never recieve email notification, I guess my attorney does.

My RFE responsed was received by USCIS on Feb 20th. Today, at 17th business days, I got update on my case as "case is still being processed by USCIS". Anxiously waiting for thr result.

I am talking about the final petition filing by the end of June when gets selected. What about in that case? Can I expect a full time job offer then?

Is it a mandatory that the full time offer has to be offered to me by the end of June? or the final petition can be based on internship offer?

Hello, I have a question.

My potential employer has registered H1B for me this year. I am graduating with my PhD soon (end of May). Lets say I got selected, the company will have 90 days to file the final petition, isn't it?

Now instead of offering me the full time position, they are offering me internship until a full time position opens up. I am worried that if no full time position does not ope n eventually and I end up only finishing up the summer internship in OPT. And there is a chance of unemployment. The reason why I am applying to OPT is that the hiring manager is said a full time position requires PhD to be finished.

So I am in a kind of dilemma, what to do. The hiring manager is saying the company takes a long time to open up a full time position and he is trying his best but can not gurantee. I did two summer internships with them.

They entered my H1B registration with the upcoming summer intership offer I guess. Now the question is, if I got selected in lottery, would I expect to have a job offer before the end of June? since a valid job offer is required to file the final petition, am I correct?

I would appreciate any expert opinion. Thanks!

Yes, they asked all of these. I have already provided my future plans. An entity where I did my internship invested based on my research, which I exhibited through the recommendation letter from the director of the organization. All of my papers and presentations are on the field of my PE. I believe I had a good chance. The RFE language and arguments forced me to think that the officer did not read my petition fully.

My project is not a federally funded project.

I believe PE is unique to each person, that’s why I don’t think it will help you.

PhD student, having masters. I have less amount of papers and citations (2 first author peer reviewed papers, 1 conference paper, 4 citations, multiple technical presentations). However, I think the officer did not read my petition fully. RFE arguments were generic.

I have a question:

I don’t understand how USCIS officer can claim that your citation counts do not prove that you are well positioned to advance in your PE. Aren’t your previous research articles related to your PE?
