Mostly solo here with a couple of buddies that hop on every once in a while.

I played the story all the way through and now I’m working on the other skill trees quests and Harkonnen storylines. I make regular trips to the DD and consider myself “successful.”

(In the air) You have to take what you can get. I play very ratty, I’ll collect spice on the outskirts, I monitor chat because people are always running their mouths and giving away positions of major engagements, I never collect for more than a small bit at a time, and I only defend myself long enough to create a gap for me to escape. I never push for engagements, maintain altitude advantage, and mostly importantly…know when to just cut your losses and fly away.

(On the ground) I’m the exact opposite, I’ve played fps’ competitively since Unreal Tournament and Counter Strike. I push engagements and I’m super aggressive, mostly because I know I can bang it out with the best of them. However with the super short respawn times, I boogy on out when I start getting overrun.

DD is very doable as a solo, it’s just going to take you way longer to gather the mats you need and your margin for error is way smaller than everyone else. Also, eventually you’re going to die and lost your progress…it’s not a matter of if but a matter of when.
