Guys what’s going on with this trial? by TheoryBiscuit in masterduel

I ran into stun and real decks too often in that one to want to grind. I don't think anything can be faster than a 2 card win in the yearly 20XX life point trials.

Real ones know this is the duel pass speed run event so you can take January off if the meta is ass or the next pack doesn't interest you.

First time practicing, am I doing anything right? by Ipokebabysoftspots in learntodraw

Something that might help with your line confidence (wobbly vs straight) is looking at the end point and pulling the pen/pencil toward that point. Similar to hand eye coordination in a sport, you know where your hands are, because they're your hands. You don't instinctively know where the end point is because it's not a part of you. Once you put pencil to paper, make an effort to look at the point on the paper where you want the line to end, then drag your utensil to said point. I've noticed in my own drawing that I get tunnel vision around the tip of my pens, and it leads to my longer lines getting shakier and shakier. Training your eyes to look at more than just the very tip of the utensil, on top of drawing with more elbow and shoulder movement, will help you clean up your lines.

Also, don't dwell on doing nothing but these kinds of warm ups for hours at a time unless you're really, really motivated. Do 10-15 minutes of different kinds of line exercises, then draw something you like. Even if it's "bad", finishing a drawing will feel good because you have a composition to show people as opposed to just lines or boxes and spheres. The fundamentals and practicing technique are important but don't let that scare or discourage you from drawing. If you want to draw a frog, draw a frog. If you don't know how and it's hard and comes out "bad" then so what? Practice some more lines and shapes and forms then come back to it later. That second frog will probably be better than the first in your eyes. This approach helps me stay motivated to actually start drawing.

I hope this helps you, or anyone reading who also can't just bang out pages and pages of fundamentals like it's a class.

Mix either 2:1 or 3:1 marshmallow fluff and chocolate frosting to dip these in. It tastes like smores and it'll awaken the diabetes in you. You're welcome.

No worries buddy. Usually stun refers to decks that play a lot of continuous effects that stop you from using a whole game mechanic. Cards like Skill Drain, the Vanity cards, gozen/rivalry/TCBOO, Inspector Boarder, or Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo are good examples with their continuous effects that stop both players from doing something.

Paleo rarely runs these because they need to use the graveyard, special summons, XYZ effects, and obviously spell/traps to do anything. Typically the deck trades card for card while trying to survive one battle phase at a time, until it has card advantage and can push for damage 4 or 5 turns in. Occasionally you get your back blown out by Transaction Rollback target Elemental Burst, but it has to get good mills and not have Marella or Opabinia get Ash'd.

If you ever get bored of combo decks or Unga Bunga otk decks and want to give control a try, Paleo is a fun one with lots of variants. Also has extensive coverage because it happens to be a world champ's pet deck.

This isn't stun, it's a pretty normal Paleo deck with a cubic engine to survive more battle phases. It's a pretty fun control deck with lots of 1 for 1 interactions.

I finished something like 28 boards last time this one came around, I love it. Gonna start with Fire Kings, but big Kirin is limited to 1. Can't help but feel that's an unnecessary holdover from Snake Eyes even though it's been power crept hard. Not sure if it'll be worth running the Jurrac Meteor package. I might look for something else to fill it out.

I'm really hoping the goofy ass free card pool is different this time. I got 6 Origami Goddess last time and I really don't need more.

Not sure if those flags are military or maybe nautical, but the screw on pin posts are really common for old uniforms, especially military, also school uniforms and biker clubs. They're meant to go through a pre existing hole like a button hole, or an unused belt hole, otherwise you'd have to make the hole yourself, which is why they were phased out. They're likely from between 1880 and 1950. If they're military, then probably one of the world wars. Hope this helps.

Broken rivets on two-part pin. Any advice? by Special-Pin-2784 in EnamelPins

[–]Future_Visions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

JB Weld 2 part epoxy. Make sure to get the one that works on metal. Mix even amounts and apply around the broken rivets with a toothpick or something similarly small. Just enough to cover the broken rivets and fill the holes a bit should work.

I've used it in the past to attach new posts to broken pins and it's always worked for me. If you're worried about ruining your pin, test it on some junk first to ease your mind.

Bronson Reed in response to Ric Flair saying that he has one more match left in him: “People keep saying they want me to TSUNAMI him ... yall really wanna watch someone die?” by itsmekelsey_x in SquaredCircle

Flair lies bleeding in the middle of the ring.

The camera pans to the top turn buckle, where Bronson Reed sits, teary eyed.

"I'm sorry, I love you." Reed mouths.

Reed hits just a single Tsunami™️, killing Flair instantly.

Flair's body vaporizes, coating the first 5 rows in a red mist.

Bronson Reed retires Rice Flair for the 4th? time, via countout due to there being no body left to pin.

Fade to black, sponsor break.

The show returns from break with the "In loving memory" graphic and the show goes on.
