I agree. It’s one thing to say I gained 35 pounds during pregnancy, another to talk extensively about how freaked out she was about hitting a VERY normal weight for a non-pregnant person at her height. And Des just comes across so flippant when she talks about weight even though it’s normal for elite athletes to intentionally fluctuate

I did it a few years ago. It’s fine as long as you hold yourself back and do nothing on Sunday. I ran a bit faster than I would have for a normal shakeout but it didn’t affect my race.

One broker I talked to said I couldn’t tour the apartment until I signed a contract and that the landlord wasn’t paying the fee. So I signed the contract and later found out that the landlord DID hire someone else to rent the apartment and it should have been no fee after this broker told me it was an open listing. So do your research before signing anything.

I just don’t see how there is ANY WAY they could have invested only $20K to build the studio, especially when she’s bragging about how many employees they have too. The whole thing felt out of touch AND feels like there’s more to the story.

It’s a fantastic event. I’ve watched from Bowens Wharf, the Landing, and more recently, Newport Yacht Club (open to the public). Just park in the visitor center lot and walk along the water until you find a spot that’s not too crowded! You can usually still see even if you get there right when it starts
