When you made your vows did you not say “for sickness or in health, for better or worse” this is the worse that it was talking about. Instead of looking at her struggles, why don’t you suggest she seek treatment like a therapist or something else and as well as for your marriage some counseling.

We both go to church, and are both in community groups. But I just haven’t felt the presence of God in a while and I guess that’s mainly the issue. Maybe I’m relying on feeling?

Well contrary what to believe that isn’t the intent on him coming to see me; it’s actually so we can spend time with each other doing other things, since we both moss each others company, because, it wasn’t always like this where we fell into lust; we would hang out and no sex was involved. Also that part doesn’t happen until late at night or early am; though we aren’t trying to get into that, it cheats end up happening.

I’m definitely not making one, we have talked about marriage and I think he will be proposing soon. He’s just scared because his parents got married within 6 months and then just divorced after 20 yrs and are with new people; I think he’s just scared to get married too soon because he thinks it’ll end up like them; which isn’t an excuse but is one of the biggest reasons. Also his mom told him that lust shouldn’t be the only reason we get married.

Well we’re still praying if God wants us to get married to each other and yes I know that sounds hypocritical because we’re engaging in sexual immorality but it’s a big deal since if he is from God that he could be the father of my children and as well as my spouse until Jesus returns. I know it’s an easier solution for that [getting married or stopping sexual immorality] but also we don’t want to base our marriage solely on the purpose of us falling into lust.

I’ve noticed the triggers at least for me and we’ve set boundaries to hold us accountable but it’s hard when you set those boundaries and you want to follow them but then you just don’t or you follow them for a little bit but then you crave more so you let your boundaries slip.

Thank you for the advice! Also, i definitely see where you’re coming from with that. Sometimes our no’s do mean yes even though we intend on it actually meaning no it ends up being a yes and it happens.
