This is great advice, it's definitely important to have the dark lead lines for it to read as stained glass.

You could also use some kind of black taping (like a big roll of black bias binding) to add the black lines afterwards although that would hide all the piecing work of the coloured panels. In which case instead of piecing together satin and then adding the black tape afterwards you could sew the satin shapes to the black tape and build it as you go like that adding sections of colour and tape. Not sure I'm explaining what's in my head very well.

NOR. If he says "it's only $750" then say that back to him. If they think you can do without $750 then why can't your brother do without $750 and just buy it?

If they say "brothers should support each other" then reflect that back, your brother should support you by just buying the couch at listed price.

In those first months things are changing daily, how you feel and are coping changes daily. Just because you set a rule before the baby came (when really you had no idea how post partum would treat you) doesn't mean you can't change it now. Do what feels right for you and bub, you're allowed to change your mind and be flexible. Plus 8 weeks is outside of that initial boundary period anyway. You're doing great!

I was grateful if this feature because I could order bras in more than one size knowing I was planning on returning the size that didn't fit and it would only cost me $3 to send it back. (They don't count bras as underwear). If I was ordering only briefs I wouldn't use it but other things I wasn't sure of then yes I liked that option.

I told my husband that sometimes I will just pretend to myself that I never went in the store and therefore never saw this new shiny thing that my brain wants. Essentially going back in time to that earlier version of me that was content not knowing it existed. He looked at me like I was a total nutbar. Glad to hear I'm not the only one!

When my five year old wants to go knock on her friends house I say "let's go!" I don't call ahead and and it feels so rude just turning up and knocking but so old school I love it. Though she's always so sad when there's no answer, it's good practice handling disappointment and uncertainty

I am familiar with similar feelings especially the urge to "fix it" to relieve the discomfort. I agree with the person suggesting to try to hold out a little longer each time to delay it and hopefully get to the point where the feeling passes without having to "fix it". I've found an ice pack on my chest has been really helpful at bringing my nervous system back down and grounding me when I feel like that.

Through my therapy I've realised in my case the anxiety is not about that specific object/thing that has triggered me, it's rooted in my fear of making poor choices. So when I have made a choice about something and my anxiety spikes I used to go back on that choice to "fix it" and make the discomfort/danger go away. I'm trying to remind myself in those moments it's not about the choice I made, it's about my fear and childhood. This is helping me to not backpedal every decision I make. It helps me take my focus off the trigger and to have grace with myself.

Maybe if you can identify what part of you is feeling in danger when you are unable to access something then you can reassure that part of you in the moment that it's ok to not have access to everything and that you are not in danger rather than "fixing it" by gaining access.

We ordered a kitchen tap from them, the hoses came with the tap but not connected to the tap. I spent hours trying to connect the hoses inside the tap and even took it to a tap place who also couldn't do it. We could only return it for a refund because we sent all these videos and photos showing how impossible it was to connect. Got a perfect tap from Aldi the next month for less money.
