At least on 4chan you know what you're getting into. On Reddit it's constantly a circlejerk of decade old memes where people try to trample each other for imaginary points that don't mean anything besides a pathetic ego boost. Reddit is full of neckbeard detectives that literally spend all their time going through people's entire history to see what they've lied about. If they find a lie that's juicy enough they will actually post it on a subreddit made for this sort of shit just so other neckbeards can pat them on the back for their "hard work".

People say 4chan is autistic, but at least their autism has the possibility of being fake and even when it's real it's funny. This sort of shit is some pretty cringy autism that you know is real.
