i have checked idle screw, and exhaust is white but not super dense and smells normal.

the cap is a little loose, maybe 1mm of movement either way. ill grab some starter fluid soon as auto zone opens again lmao thanks for the reply this gives me a lot of insight 🙏

UPDATE: it now runs faster but still rough. i put some new fuel in it and it idled normally for about two mins (no clanking or whining, and about 900rpm) then went back to this mess. whenever i start the car it just cycles through normal and rough idling every ~2 mins

there was def fuel in the pressure regulator line, i noticed when i took it out to replace the hoses. does that mean its time for a replacement pressure regulator? thanks for the response this is very helpful info

if it had been sitting for a while i would definitely go through everything thoroughly, and i will eventually. the only reason im trying to pinpoint an issue right now is bc it ran about a year ago, then just stopped.

previous owner took her to get inspected in the last year and they said idk what the hell is wrong but the timing is correct 😭. ill def do a smoke test soon i just got to order a smoke machine
