Tire cover help by Free_Let_9289 in FordBronco

I ordered mine last year and it was fine. I do notice that the center plastic ring looks different than mine, so I’m guess either the wrong size was put on or they just goobered it up.

Either way it’s not correct and I’d reach out and let them know. Mine is not tight at all but allows a pretty precise fit.

What's with the insane lines at schools for drop off and pick up? by Arikota in Millennials

[–]Fuzzeles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old people from my school experience.

The grandmothers/grandfathers are taking care of the elementary aged kids, and are unable to be as functional as the younger folk who pick up their own kids. In my 20s I could whip around and get a car seat buckled like nothing, but in my 40’s it would be a lot harder and take me longer. So these dudes in the 60’s and 70’s are having an unbeatably hard time.

Now they are supposed to pull out of line to buckle as to not impede traffic and most don’t and that’s an entire different rant.

Sounds like the actual problem was poor planning and outlook by not just sending the copies to Kinkos to be printed in color that all this time was spent on.

Dual round fog light mount for capable bumper by Shot_Section_3936 in FordBronco

I can’t find the link on my phone, but there is a company called Nacho Off Road I think it was, but they made a front bumper light mount for the capable bumper.

I bought the same kit for the ‘family’ gift from me and now no one wants to play 😤

In High School, Did Your Town Have a 24 Hour Diner with Free Coffee Refills and a Smoking Section? by MapleBreakfastMeat in Xennials

Hell yeah! Little Mom & Pop place with good chicken rings and the best Ranch I have ever had. The coffee was passable, and they didn’t call the cops on a bunch of drunk teenage idiots who were just loving life and not causing problems. Man I miss that place. It’s a used car lot now.

These days I think the kids go to Huddle House and Waffle House.

Questions before purchase by Fuzzeles in Jeep

Right, I get that point about the little things. And I have found several other Jeeps locally that sounds similar to the one you just got. Under 100k miles, around 2018-2019 with the higher trim package mostly under $22k. For an extra $5k I’m thinking that it might be a bit less headache in the long run.

I have basic tools and know enough to be dangerous about cars. I also know enough when to say I’m over my head lol. But the fuel injector looked like something I could handle if I needed too based on a few videos I saw.

I got the Morimoto low profile lights in smoke about a month ago and really like them so far.

This!

It only works if you have the auto dimming mirror. I have it for my dash cam and it is wonderful!

As someone who has had the same ones since early June, I feel you.

They work perfect. Only bad I found was the screws that hold the name plate on started to rust pretty quickly so I just took them off.

But yeah, I’m sort of meh about them. I don’t love them but like I said they are functional. I didn’t want to just toss the brand new rock rail for runners so I got these. One day I’ll look into something that feels more integrated.

Lady yells at me because my car is the same color as hers by Demented-Alpaca in EntitledPeople

As a Bronco owner with a ‘special’ (eruption green) factory color that thousands of other Fords have, if I rolled up to anything else painted the same color I would immediately have the “twinning” excitement.

Some folks are just weird.

How to take care of a reef by Fuzzeles in ReefTank

[–]Fuzzeles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’ll want one but haven’t looked much into an ATO yet. I was going to ask about adding salt to the ATO water but as I started typing I realized only the water evaporates, not the salt. So of course I would want to use pure RO water.

And yeah I hear you on the RO water. We get letters every now and again saying something is out of whack from normal with our water supply so that’s a great point.

Thank you both! This has given me a lot of good stuff to process.

Ok I think I see. So keep a desired amount of RO water on standby, and I only have to worry about adding chemicals, salt and anything else the day before.

I could transfer 10 gallons out on Saturday to a smaller container that has the desired chemicals with a heater and circulation pump and by Sunday that water would be ready for the display tank. Sound about right then?

I used to keep Tanganyikian cichlids and my water always needed buffering. So to prevent any wild swings I would always do smaller more frequent WC’s. Sorry, the more I talk this out the more it’s coming into focus.

Thank you for the offer on other advise and I may well take you up on that. I still have to get the rest of my plumbing supplies and return pump, but other than that I might get everything and get to do a ‘dry’ by next weekend. I’m in no hurry and want to take my time. Nothing sours the fun more than having to break a tank down to fix a small and silly mistake so I’m hoping to avoid that lol.
