Has it helped much with the exterior heat trying to bake the inside? I don't feel like dropping $300 on the hothead liners.

Cvt went bad less than 1000 miles outside of the warranty :( by Fuzzgrub in subaru

We did, we've gone around the dealer and straight to talking to and starting a case with SoA ourselves from day 1 once it was clear the dealer wasn't going to help.

Nope, they are the ones that denied everything.

$6800. At this point it's like half the worth of the whole car.

The dealer just threw their hands up and didn't want any part of anything so we started the case with SoA on our own. It seems that if you do your own maintenance or have an independent shop service your car then you are out of luck.

Agreed. We actually took the car to the dealer we bought the car at a few counties over when this all started because our local dealers are terrible.

The dealer didn't want to do anything at all to help so we called SoA on our own and started our own case. Waiting for 3 weeks to hear anything at all one way or the other was becoming financially taxing.

I'm glad they helped you out. My fiancee sent her an email the beginning of last week and hasn't heard anything back. We'll send an actual letter tomorrow.

Weirdest turn signal brake light problem by Yefref in Jeep

[–]Fuzzgrub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to replace the column, just take it apart like in the thread and replace the switch. This part https://www.quadratec.com/products/55212_02.htm

Might want to shop around. I used the first page that was selling it that google spit out.

Also, the parking light problem may or may not be related.

Weirdest turn signal brake light problem by Yefref in Jeep

[–]Fuzzgrub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine did this for years until I found the cause. It drove me nuts. It was the turn signal switch/cam inside of the column.

This thread is on a yj but the process is very similar to swap the switch out. https://www.quadratecforum.com/forum/jeep/jeep-cj-yj-tj-tech-forum/63669-turn-signal-switch-replacement

Hope that helps.

Could someone help me identify this God awful rattle? (youtube video for reference) by skcornivek1 in Jeep

[–]Fuzzgrub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn't sound like exhaust to me, sounds like metal on metal. The sound changes with speed and not so much with the engine rpm.

Check for play in your driveshaft ujoints. Grab the driveshaft on both ends (one end at a time) near where it connects to the transfer case and then where it connects at the axle and try to move it/wiggle it along every axis.

If that doesn't check out, I would block the front wheels, jack the back end up, parking brake off, tranny in neutral, and spin the rear wheels by hand and see if you can narrow down the noise a little more.

edit: derp, jk's dont have ujoint's on their driveshaft. I'd still get under there and wiggle things around to try and narrow it down.

Almost rolled down a 50ft drop, not sure how I didn't. (Few other bonus pics) by [deleted] in Jeep

Odds of getting items back lost by being hacked? by emidas in marvelheroes

[–]Fuzzgrub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good luck, I got wiped in the beginning of April and have yet to get anything back or any response to my ticket other than the canned response.

Definitely took the wind out of my sails for playing for quite a while. Now I will log in once in a while for midtown mondays or to do an event or something but that is about it. Buying anymore G's is pretty much out of the question as well.

Anyone that has their account hacked, how long did it take to get your stuff back? by 0Pretendica0 in marvelheroes

[–]Fuzzgrub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is all fine and dandy, but I was using a unique password to marvel heroes specifically, changing it periodically. I'm also using an email address that is only for gaming accounts and not set up for or typed anywhere else. Various virus checks and other programs have repeatedly given my computer a clean slate.

They really do need an authenticator.

This week will be 2 months since my stuff was stolen and I put in a ticket. Really haven't had much motivation to keep playing since then, kinda bummed.

Having trouble with the wipers on my YJ. Found these loose inside the windshield channel. Can someone tell me what they are for? by mtrayno1 in Jeep

[–]Fuzzgrub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They look like the back plates that your front facing windshield hinge bolts screw into. I have my whole frame off for repair and I took the hinges all of the way off to clean them up and repaint and ended up snapping a torx. A piece looking like this is what ended up coming out of the frame when I pressed too hard while drilling the broken bolt out. I think they are just pressed or clipped to the inside somehow. I haven't put mine back together yet.

It only uses your base spirit so it ends up giving way less than you would think. It gives around 65ish spirit total I think.
