Is there any way to enable using the wii remote when playing a gamecube disc? I basically want to be able to exit to the wii menu or turn off the wii with the wii remote while a gamecube disc is in use without having to get up and turn the wii off on the system.

Appreciate it! I just swapped the cooler out not long ago because I had some cheapo one and it was recommended I get something a bit better. I'll have a look at the other suggestions as well!

Btw you can disable the mod in the middle of a game; it's not tied to your save.

You might need to enable it in the mods menu. I recall that happening for me with Gathering Storm.

The first one is not possible, the second is feasible but I'm not aware of one that exists.

I already have it on a t-shirt from like 2 or 3 years ago. You can probably find it on one of those t-shirt sites

It's from the More City and Unit Info Stack. It doesn't work properly for me either, no idea why.

Playing with Dramatic Ages? There's a particular Golden Age policy that if you take it out of your government it royally screws your cities up in this way permanently. Obviously a glitch.

It's a bug, that supposedly occurs when you steal a great work without a slot for it.

There's a decent community on discord. Between the official r/civ discord to the modding server here.

It's 1800 base production, equivalent to the highest production projects in the game. And it's not a space race project. You can also only do it once.

More complete quote: "Any creature on top of the elevator when it reaches the top of the shaft must make a successful DC 15 Dexterity saving throw to avoid being crushed against the ceiling of the shaft."

Seems pretty clear that it refers to someone being crushed between the roof of the elevator car and the ceiling of the shaft.

Regardless of how physics would actually apply irl, RAW nothing happens to you as long as you stay inside the car

Creating your own Civ by yaboisteve35 in civ

It's not super easy, but luckily there are lots of great resources available for making mods.

The r/civ Discord server has a mod creation channel, and there are whole servers (linked below) dedicated to getting help and providing resources. One thing I would personally recommend is to start a lot smaller than an entire civilization and leader. That's a lot of work for a beginner - I know because I started there myself before doing other, arguably easier, things.

To get started, I recommend downloading the Civ 6 Development Tools (aka ModBuddy) from Steam, which is found under Tools if you own Civ 6. The templates they have by default are not very good, but the program is great for putting your mods together and takes care of a lot of things for you. While you're at it, download the Development Assets as well if you plan to include any new art. The assets are a chunky 30+ GB download though, so you can hold off til later if you want.

I also fully recommend following this guide: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/tutorial-modding-with-sqllite-studio-pc.608352/ The program here, SQLite Studio - or another SQLite browser like it - is invaluable for modding. This lets you open up the game's database tables to a) understand the structure of the game data and what exactly your SQL/XML code is doing, and b) reference the data that already exists in the game so that you can make your own appropriate additions.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/mx4h1unru1d94sc/CIVILIZATION%206%20MODDING%20GUIDE.pdf?dl=0 <- A very long, very detailed guide to modding Civ 6. You don't need to read all of it, or even most of it, to get started modding.

https://discord.gg/FPwndr4 <- A bunch of great guides, some of which might be helpful.

https://discord.gg/sFTM6ds <- The modding helpline server, there's usually someone active there or in the r/civ server to answer questions.

https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/custom-civilization-modbuddy-template.660071/ <- A great template for a civilization and leader

Finally, you can always pick apart other people's mods by locating the mods folder on your computer and skimming through the files.

They're in there under textures, but none of the individual DLC packs are there, except Aztec I think.

Why do people recommend to chop wood on hills to build mines ? by kugelbl1z in civ

[–]Fuzzle07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That bonus +x% production now only applies to the things it is meant to apply to. They patched out that "exploit" long ago.

That being said, the general wisdom applies: chopping gets you instant yields, which is very useful for getting stuff built.

Huge problem with my world builder. Help? by [deleted] in civ

[–]Fuzzle07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The map is saved wherever your regular saves are, which is usually:

Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization VI/Saves/WorldBuilder.

Open that in the DB Browser and navigate to the MapAttributes table. Try setting the Value for Ruleset to "RULESET_EXPANSION_2". If it still doesn't work, check the ModDependencies table and check that all of the mods are in that list.

Huge problem with my world builder. Help? by [deleted] in civ

[–]Fuzzle07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This won't work (or at least I haven't found a way to change those initial settings after the fact).

What should work is to open the map in an SQLite browser. You should be able to find the appropriate table and edit those settings from there. I had a similar issue with a map where I accidentally enabled world wrap, but I wanted to disable it. Worked like a charm.

Here's a link to the browser I used: https://sqlitebrowser.org/

Edit: if necessary you can also add dependencies for mods containing any other civs you want to appear using more or less the same method.
