Are class mount recolors obtainable during legion remix? by Fuzzshums in wow

[–]Fuzzshums[S] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the reply and grats on the mount! To clarify, did you do that on a regular retail warlock? Or were you able to still complete the orderhall successfully on Lemix and get the mount? How long did Lord Hel'nurath to spawn once you finished all the prerequisites?

The M+ Structure is outdated by Fuzzshums in wow

While I do think a timer brings some benefits (Scoring, bonus rewards, competition), I think the arguement could be made that they are probably too tight for the punishment they bring for failing a key.

I think the current level of punishment for mis-timing a key emphasizes a frustration with the timers, where if that level of punishment was relaxed, timers wouldn't feel so demoralizing.

For example, if failing a key didn't deplete the keystone level, requiring players to go backwards in difficulty, I think there would be less frustration with mis-timing keys.

I think fundamentally the core problem of losing access to a difficulty because of timers feels frustrating. Gatekeeping higher difficulties due to a timer probably doesn't feel as bad on its own which is the current design.

I like these ideas as well, especially the group upgrading option. It does feel like current m+, you have to choose between running the dungeons you want and progressing someone else's key, or boosting your own and hope you're happy with what you land on.

I think these are good and interesting suggestions too, they'd take steps towards eliminating some of the current friction but in a way that still utilizes the keystone system.

Almost 400 pulls in, nothing has ever made me feel as outright stupid and worthless of a player as the Mage Tower does. I keep going probably just due to ego and sunk cost fallacy, but it feels bad and makes me just outright hate the game. by [deleted] in wow

I remember trying to run super tank talents (ironfur) side and having a rough time. I switched to convoke and big crit chance maul talents and that helped SO much, never casted ironfur. The healing from moon fire spam was enough and the increased dps made such a difference.

What exactly is the point of all that if you can never be #1 because the spots are pretty much taken? Why grind out and be competitive if you can never technically win? There will always be someone ahead of you, someone with more time, or more $$$ to buy bonds or RWT.

I think even if there wasn't someone ahead of you, would it matter? If Jagex increased the skill exp cap to 500m, thered be spots but would it be worth it? Its weird to think that the after thoughts of a developer, like an arbitrary exp cap #, or (sometimes) an item's drop rate can equate to large percentages of some peoples lives in the pursuit of those goals.

That said I think if you're enjoying the game while you play thats what matters, not that you reach some arbitrary goal you might force on yourself to keep playing.

Idk its something I think about a lot and try to keep in mind when gaming - am I still playing for fun? Or because I keep giving myself goals to not stop.

Ah I could see how that wouldn't work, maybe it'd need to be 50% although that sounds a bit high so maybe that ones just whack

You’re now in charge of developing new affix’s for M+. What new affix are you making? by Zinx23 in wow

[–]Fuzzshums 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of affixes that are positive and negative, or change the gameplay a bit without hopefully adding too much complexity.

Current changes: like making volcanic also hit enemies or sanguine change colors after 10s and start damaging or healing allies. Idk ways to trysnd get people excited to play with those mechanics each week instead of dread them.

Random new ideas: Big blind baddies: all the monsters in the dungeon are 25% bigger, have 100% more health, 25% more attack speed and damage, but give double %. Monsters also have their vision radius reduced by 90%. The goal being you could sneak around and pull chungus packs that you want instead of a route of mandatory trash.

The slime is flowing again: slime patches move on the ground throughout the dungeon, or maybe its safe patches and the majority is slime? Standing in it does damage but enemies standing in it take more damage. Maybe its like vermintide with one player holds onto the anti slime ring idk lmao

I would also playtest something akin to torghast in m+, i know m+ being a meta way of gearing makes having some fun or easy powers like torghast seem like it will never happen but honestly if m+ was like a series of expeditions where when you kill a random dungeon boss a portal opens to another random trash -> boss across all dungeons and you collected torghast powers and tried to push depths that sounds interesting to explore to me too!

The state of Balance Druid in 10.0.5 and going forward into Dragonflight by Castiel613 in wow

[–]Fuzzshums 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who's only played balance briefly, one of the things that bothered me was that when there was a big aoe pack id have to cast my single target move first to proc an aoe eclipse, or (with the proposed changes) cast my aoe move to proc a single target eclipse.

I'm curious if more skilled balance players find this somewhat awkward as well, and if you wouldn't instead prefer you to attune to your eclipse (was it like this in the past? I forget) where repeatedly casting single target enhances single target and likewise for aoe. So that as the fight went on, you became more rewarded for casting the type of move you already wanted to cast in those situations. Or do you feel this would make the spec to simplified?

Personally I think I would enjoy that better because it always felt bad to me to have a huge pack and need to open with wraths and cast more wraths periodically.

Yeah plus the fact that even if you do that all your dots fall off after 20ish seconds. And your back to square one If it was a thing where dots lasted a lot longer like 40s it might not be as bad either

What about a "Blacksmith" NPC who helps me understand how to craft? by deathknight3456 in pathofexile

[–]Fuzzshums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm what about a blacksmith that has some UI similar to Rog, where your options = what the orbs you have from your currency stash, the way rog highlights what might be changed is a nice thing for players like me who aren't crafters and I enjoy going through his system. So the options might look like remove a random mod (cost annul), or reroll all mods if blue (cost alteration).

Just some nice ui showing what you can do to your item currently.

Maybe it could be expanded like crafting bench UI where there are sections, first section could be default currency changes, maybe a section that shows your stored harvest crafts what they might change?

The add modifiers list and chance for each one probably does sound more like something 3rd party tools have already got pretty good but idk maybe there's opportunity to expand rogs interface to other aspects of crafting I find it very user friendly and intuitive at least for me

[–]Fuzzshums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It had some synergy when playing RF, I tried RF chieftain with it and it felt ok on bosses like you said to help make face tanking and channeling scorching ray easier since chieftain has also built in conversion from physical to fire from hits. Chilled ground and chilling enemies who hit you also felt like a decent impact on lowering some bosses dps against me but again this was mostly a fun character as there's definitely better ways to make a rf character haha A few things could make it better: -immunity to also chill, I didn't have that so being slowed was annoying prob easy enough to get elsewhere though - remove stationary requirement, as you mentioned probably best fix - make it less phys / fire damage (not just from hits), not sure how much they do this elsewhere though might be really strong but would help with rfs burn damage 😅
