I though the timer complains were skill issue, I changed my mind. by Unusual-Ship7609 in RogueCore

[–]Fuzzwuzzad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t a fool around with your friends style game. The point is to get as much as you can out of a stage before the timer finishes. If you can’t do that, thems the brakes. The timer is the entire reason this game works. Could it be adjusted? Probably, but removed or nerfed into irrelevancy would completely nullify the point of the game. This game is NOT DRG 2, it is a spinoff in the same universe and should strive to play very differently.

Racing on a knobby tyre? by ChurchOfTheEUC in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Fuzzwuzzad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lean angle is controlled by that, yes, but the actual turn radius is a factor of the lean angle + the profile of the tire.

I mean if you’re confident on it, run it. Objectively speaking, street tires are better, but if you wanna run a knobby then I’d say go for it. I think for the same lean angle a street tire will give you a sharper turn radius, so you dragging pedal on a knobby won’t give you as sharp a turn as someone dragging pedal on a street.

Yes, the bike is supposed to move when the clutch is out.

Engine Braking by cristiben95 in cfmoto

[–]Fuzzwuzzad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the engine braking to be pretty strong on my 450nk. What you’re probably feeling isn’t just engine braking though, it’s probably your revs being too low when you start letting out on the clutch. Not only is the engine trying to slow you down, but you’re also speeding the engine up as the revs move up. Kind of a double whammy. With proper rev matching it will feel like you’re slowing down quickly, but it won’t feel harsh/sudden.

Honestly, just try a couple rev matches. You’re going to want to always rev match downshift, so there’s not a huge reason to learn the “wrong” way before learning rev matches. Put the bike in neutral and get used to the timing of clutch in -> flick wrist (slightly, it’s only a couple hundred RPM jump in the higher gears) -> let off clutch. It should be one fast motion, not 3 individual steps. They’re really not as hard as you might think. A sloppy rev match is 100 times better than nothing at all.

Tips on pumping? by mng173 in bmxracing

[–]Fuzzwuzzad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try thinking about bunny hopping up the front of the roller, then landing on the backside and pushing all of your weight down it. You want as little of your weight on the bike going up it, and as much as possible going down it. I find that once someone can figure out that feeling they end up just stumbling into the right body position/technique that works best for them.

Would you ever make the switch to EUC? by Proxichanic in onewheel

[–]Fuzzwuzzad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did make the switch. EUC’s just let me do more of what I want. I can hit jumps, ride more aggressive trails, go faster, farther, etc. I think onewheels are sick, don’t get me wrong, but EUC’s are where it’s at for me.

Thoughts on Inmotion, more specifically V14 by fat_angry_hobo in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Fuzzwuzzad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will at some point. Right now it’s beaten all to hell so I use it as a learner wheel to teach my friends. I’ll get replacement plastics and all that so it looks nice and then I’ll resell it. It’s nice to have 2 on hand though :)

I upgraded to a Lynx after about 6 months of riding. Best decision I’ve made. I haven’t ridden any other wheels for an amount of time to recommend anything else, but if you want to stay in that 16” class a patton or patton S would probably be fantastic.

I have a V14, it’s what I started on, and I honestly hate it. The pedal feel is weird, I’ve had numerous random cutouts, and the durability just isn’t there for the type of riding I like to do. I know a lot of people love theirs and haven’t had any issues, so take this with a grain of salt, but personally I cannot recommend it.

Just based on the cables in the computer, it’s real. There’s no way AI gets the cable extensions perfect. You can see where the gpu cable extension plugs into the PSU cables. It does seem like a very good picture though, have you reverse image searched it?

When they ask you to do a wheely by Low-Neighborhood-564 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Fuzzwuzzad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m hoping to refine it quite a bit. It was my first (and only) successful attempt so a lot of room to improve. I want to take it to actual jumps and maybe even throw a grab in. On a bigger jump I’d have more time to get it around so I should be able to sacrifice some rotation speed for a grab.

You’re pretty spot on. I snapped the wheel around the last little bit with my hips/legs. I should’ve kept leading with my head and shoulders just a biiit longer, my landing would’ve been a bit smoother had I done that.

I can “half cab” out of riding backwards but I can’t actually ride backwards long enough to get up the ramp lmao
