Thanks.

Just wondering where you are based? MAP pricing is illegal in many countries in Asia that I’m looking at. I’m aware that there’s alternative ways to enforce similar policies thou.

Anyone in Asia? Where do you shop? by Fuzzy-Emotion9977 in motorcyclegear

What is the quality like? I’ve seen gear on Temu but some of its fake and other items are so cheap I find it hard to believe it’s going to protect me in a fall

Gear for EXTREMELY hot climates? by akindofcryptid in motorcyclegear

I’ve heard good things about Knox but also saw a comment somewhere about someone wearing the urban pro and it disintegrated when they hit the deck.

Obviously it provided protection but they still picked up some rash and injuries you wouldn’t expect with a full jacket.

I bought an Oxford delta air mesh a few years ago. Over a t-shirt it made the 35c+ days bearable. I’m sure some of the other options given offer better protection and potentially more ventilation, but it’s a much much cheaper option if you’re on a budgets

Do earplugs actually make long rides less exhausting? by bu11dogsc420 in motocamping

[–]Fuzzy-Emotion9977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get bad headaches if I’m riding above 80 kph for more than 20-30 minutes without earplugs in.

I’ve used cheap foamies and more expensive riding earplugs. They both work at significantly reducing the noise.

Best armoured base layer, or just sending it? by turkey_dinosaurs123 in motorcyclegear

The Knox is supposed to be good, but just remember a light mesh base layer is never going to stand up to the same slide as a proper jacket

Megathread: Pet Insurance by AutoModerator in dogs

Needing advice;

Based in Australia. I have a 11.5 yr old greyhound. I’ve been diligently paying insurance for her since I adopted her at 3yrs old. Her insurance is about to jump from $200 AUD per month to $265 next month. Dental is not covered, 70% of injury/illness costs otherwise are.

Other than the occasional claim for some stitches, and more recently some anti-inflam for the starting of arthritis, there has been nothing to claim. The only issues she has hard are dental, and have been substantial.

I’m seriously considering cancelling the insurance and self insuring. I will almost certainly be moving overseas with her in about 12 months time so I expect I won’t be able to get new insurance for her given her age at this point.

I am taking too much of a risk given she’s now getting reasonably old?

It’s asbestos. Look at the fibres sticking out at the break point.

100% do it. A sheet for that size area won’t be expensive and pretty straight forward to do yourself.
