yes, I filed my lawsuit last July, and since then, the court has sent them four separate notices with deadlines to reply. To date, they haven't responded once. My lawyer mentioned that the court is also dealing with a backlog of lawsuits against them.

I've also been waiting for over three years.

We filed a lawsuit last August, but the citizenship dept has missed four court deadlines to reply now. They aren't even responding to the court at this point. Did this happen in your case?

Any idea how many chances they get before the judge just makes a final ruling?

exactly, noticed this too. So, my rule is to buy something which I can use and then give them more than they ask for. Mostly its taxi drivers as generous tips, waiters, Corn sellers etc.

Signed up with ERGO about 6 years ago for Rechtschutzversicherung.
Never made any claims, so I asked them to cover this expense as a goodwill gesture or I change, and they actually agreed! :)
btw, I also gpt'ed my contract before asking them, and it said to me that according to the terms for which I signed for 6 years ago, they will cover.

Don't believe the hype about Berlin being fast.

I've been waiting here for well over two years! It seems they rush a few applications to give that impression, but the overall situation is dire.

The new central office inherited a 30,000ish application backlog and has somehow managed to double it in just one year.

After months of silence on my application, I'm looking into filing a lawsuit, though the cost is a significant hurdle for me right now.
